Does anybody know when they are taping for the holidays at Magic Kingdom this year? Also, does anybody know if they are going to do the Christmas parade during the daytime like they did previous years for tapings and if so which day?

Another year of butchered holiday songs and not showing previews and sneak peeks at the park...No thanks....
And...Two more points:

First...one of my favorite Christmas traditions was having the TV parade on in the background while opening presents, etc. Fast forward to last year being the first time I didn't even give it a chance (sorry/not sorry, call me a prude, but gyrating in "barely there" DWtS outfits does not elicit warm and fuzzy innocent Christmas childhood charm).

Second....MID-OCTOBER?! One of the great things of the parade was at least some parts were live. But I remember being in the parks mid-December as they were filming the pre-recorded parts. I know its not a guarantee (& seemingly less and less each year), but in those cases it was cold (by Florida standards lol) and it added to the Christmas feel filming the parade viewers all bundled up..... because it was actually cold.

Just throw on an old Christmas Parade via YouTube. "Sam's Disney Diary' has a playlist of them from 1983 to 2011 (plus a few more, but anything after about 2004 is just garbage, IMHO) on that platform -

My utter disdain and disgust for the Iger-era pre-recorded infomercial masquerading as a "Christmas parade" is well-known.

thank you...for the last several years "Sam's Disney Diary" has become our new family tradition for Christmas, Easter, and Independence Day:D

THIS is how it should still be like..After 2011 it was all downhill...

This hasn't been released (or even hinted at) and it's annoying me... DL is doing theirs this weekend, so I'd suspect soon.

Oooohh! Will see six seconds of 3 holiday floats and then get to the family story that can't do a Disney trip but all of a sudden..They get a Disney Cruise! Not a trip to the parks...A Cruise...And I'm sure the kids wanted to actually do rides and such..

Why is it always a bloody cruise? Why not save a bit of cash and send them to Shanghai or Paris? Or, since they're promoting it so much now on D+, Tokyo? Tokyo is cheaper than a cruise by far!

It's a cruise because it doesn't cost Disney anything to send people on a cruise. The ship has to go anyway and a few more people wouldn't even be measurable on anyone's spreadsheet. There is always an open room or two on any cruise. Trips to Japan would cost a lot out of pocket. Disney doesn't own the parks in Japan. I'm not sure about the others but you can't ask a prize winner to get themselves to Shanghai or even Paris.

I'm aware they don't own Tokyo, but they sure have spent quite a bit on content promoting it the past few years... The cruise is kind of a lame gift in comparison.

But they can't portray the non-US parks as being empty and having the "winners" be able to do anything and everything they want for the carefully-crafted camera shots.

The "holiday" infomercials that came about under Iger are so ungodly annoying...
