Soarin’ Across America to replace Soarin’ Around the World for Nation’s 250th Birthday

I like this list but I don’t think they want to remind people of 9/11 so I don’t think the Freedom Tower/ ground 0 will be included. I also don’t think they double dip on Yosemite and let that be a Soarin Over California destination exclusively. In fact, I’m thinking there’s really no reason to include any California destinations considering it has a whole version dedicated to it. Mayyyybe just the Golden Gate Bridge since it’s so iconic?

I would be surprised if the most populous state is not included. They could go with a new location like Santa Barbara, Monterey Bay, Laguna Beach, Big Bear etc.

I just looked it up and apparently there are 13 locations in both Soarin over California and Soarin around the World. So here’s my prediction for Soarin Across America:

In no particular order

1. Seattle Space Needle
2. Las Vegas
3. Grand Canyon
4. Mount Rushmore
5. Yellowstone
6. Chicago - Wrigley Field* / Sears Tower
7. Statue of Liberty
8. NASA- Johnson Space Center
9. New Orleans/ Louisiana Bayou (only because we saw them filming the swamps)
10. Washington DC
11. Hawaii - one of the volcanoes and beaches
12. Alaska
13. Golden Gate Bridge (again)

Honorable mentions: I’m definitely missing some Great Plains and farms

*you kind of have to have a baseball stadium in this one

Good list. I would say maybe not Johnson Space Center as I am not sure it lends itself to spectacular views.

Serious wish list for scenes:

Mt Mckinley (Tallest U.S. mtn)
Olo'upena Falls (Tallest U.S. waterfall)
Mississippi River (Longest U.S. river)
Key West (Southernmost point in U.S.)
Barrow Point (Northernmost point... and NO goofy CGI polar bears!)
I think you spelt Denali wrong 😉

I don’t think so. Why potentially have people thinking of tragedy on a Disney ride? It’s unnecessary. There are so many great choices without the sad, negative baggage.
It’s history…it’s not a “monument to tragedy”…I’d let the New Yorkers decide and they don’t hide from it.

I always say “Disney adults” need to grow the hell up…if they can’t handle a picture of the financial district in New York (which dictates everything that’s done in the parks they flock to and pour money down the hole)…then they need a strategically placed boot ASAP

I didn’t say it was a monument to tragedy but that doesn’t mean it won’t illicit a negative response from riders.

I don't think NASA will be included . But Texas will for sure be included, be it a football game, rodeo, or historic city.

What recent news?

Yeah if No NASA then I’d say the Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium but then again if they do Wrigley field/ a baseball stadium that might get repetitive.

history? tread carefully there icarus, that might be taken as "socio political"
Let me say this slow for ya…

Something really bad happened 25 years ago…they dug out and recovered…the people most affected learned to live and move on and they don’t dissuade anyone from visiting/seeing it.

That’s not a political debate

See the difference?

Just throwing out possibles. I agree they won't double dip like with Yosemite and Yellowstone.
