That would be kinda surprising, considering the work they had done for Play Pavilion before it got axed. I can't imagine they demolish the building with no plans for what comes after. Or maybe they do?

I'm sure the average guest has no idea it's "missing" but I definitely miss a festival center and all the things that went with it. Did we ever hear hints of why the Play Pavilion idea wasn't pursued further? Was it tabled along with Mary Poppins and other ideas (including a permanent festival center) due to the pandemic?

There is a photo kicking about of the inside of the pavilion in it's current state, it's just an empty gutted shell in there. They demolished everything but no actual work constructing anything for the Play pavilion even began in there. Trying to find the picture, been posted loads of times on Reddit and now I can't find it

I mean, he relayed what was known at the time by cast members and insiders. People were in fact evacuated in response to what appeared to be a shooting, including into backstage areas. Calling it a “hoax” is a stretch.

Anyway.. I won't defend it any more.. Believe me, or don't.. I'm just here to share.. and I'm sad to say that WOL was one of my favorites from OG Epcot.. As far as 'whats next' for the space? I have no idea.. No idea if there is anything planned, speculated or otherwise. I mean, logic would dictate 'something' is up.. otherwise why demo WOL? but I digress.

Lets just hope they aren't tearing it out to put in permanent 'storage' ..
