Soarin’ Across America to replace Soarin’ Around the World for Nation’s 250th Birthday

Only if you are coming at it from
Right off the battery and over to maybe Liberty island?

Any other approach New York is a bit of a mess

The “down town” is spread out over tens of miles…mostly because scrapers could only be built near the bototm
Of Manhattan and then in the pocket around midtown…due to rock formations

So it doesn’t “look” like a vista kinda city from the west, east and north
But you only need 1 approach. And coming in over Liberty Island down towards Manhattan is the correct shot.

With how temporary the film is, I'd imagine the finale is Washington DC w/ fireworks?

I hope Florida (outside WDW) gets a scene... probably Miami or the Keys?

I'd imagine it'll feature the Grand Canyon, Golden Gate Bridge, Mt. Rushmore, Hawaii, NY Skyline (w/ Statue of Liberty), Gateway Arch, etc.

I agree…though Lady is in the “armpit of New Jersey”. (Fun fact for the kids: the statue is in New Jersey and not really in the field of a good shot of the NYC skyline unless you see her from the rump side)

So I’d say you actually want to come from the mystical land of Staten Island and take her on the left before turning around governors island and into the battery/financial district…then the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges are a good end point along that path?

Who called that one? I know it's 250, but still, this is a nice surprise (if they keep the Goldsmith score intact in some way).

Kinda seems like a boorish list…to be honest…

The best parts about THE UNITED STATES (i hate that they’re using ‘Merica in the title…it’s not accurate) are the nature scapes inland…not really the city skylines and beaches…with some exceptions

The best city skyline/reveal…
No joke…it’s probably Pittsburgh from the south. As ridiculous as that sounds
I agree on everything. Soarin' Over the USA or something would be a better title. Unless there will be a scene over the Amazon or something included.

Also, I agree about the Pittsburgh skyline reveal. Definitely the best one I've experienced and I've driven into pretty much all of the major cities east of the Mississippi plus CA, CO and NV.

Probably the most impressive reveal of a natural feature I've seen is driving from the east into Coeur D'alene.

Why would you?

That makes no sense 🤷🏻‍♂️
@ToTBellHop was suggesting that cities should be avoided to skirt controversy, but NYC seems like such a no-brainer to me that I really can’t imagine any objections. Plus I think they’ll be careful to avoid overly bendy shots of the skyscrapers after they realised their mistake with the Eiffel Tower.

Genuine question, since Epcot has 3 theaters, could there ever be a possibility in the future that all 3 versions are available to choose to experience at the same time (like OG Soarin’ is in concourse A, etc) or do all theaters need to be synched to the same film at the same time?
That’s an operational/queuing nightmare given the existing queue setup.

The Eiffel Tower was a mistake with an attempt to “over” it….

The best was to do flybys is to bank the chairs and do a panning across the axis

As far as “controversy”…good luck putting anything from the US in a movie that won’t get complaints in the SM echo chamber these days…we’re passed the point where you can worry about it now
