People keep framing it in terms of being open to others' views, but I don't think most who use the ignore feature do so to block out opinions they don't like. Rather, they prefer not to hear from posters they find irritating or obnoxious, which is a different matter really.

There are A LOT of people on these boards I completely disagree with but I never ignore them and continue to read their opinions. I ignore people who spam post nonsense or are just rude and disrespectful. I'm too old to care about people's feelings on the internet if they want to act like trash.

(this isn't directed at you specifically :) )

Yes, I almost wrote the same thing verbatim! This is a happy magical place 🥲 And I think we all for the most part wanna see more of that spirit here. I also would just like to see some “happy magical” updates instead of sad ones 😂😭
It'd be more happy and magical here if the folks who run Disney understood what made the parks - as well as films happy and magical.

People on these message boards can't agree on what makes them happy and magical, you think executives with a profit line attached to this understanding will?
I think most agree that parades, fireworks, and characters are a major part of the Disney park experience. Since executives have been willing to cut those - I wonder how much they do understand.

Executives just added new fireworks, parades and characters to the Disney park experience. So then everyone understands?
Has anyone complained about those additions?

Still need a few more parades to get back to the golden age - but Starlight got us one giant leap closer to what it once was.

Parades and characters have been.

Although characters might be getting back to previous “golden age” numbers. Which is good.
What is your benchmark for parades, 2014?

It's been a decade+ since the non castle parks had a dedicated one. Epcot had it's last one in 2001.

ETA: Magic Happens not running at Disneyland during the 70th is a disagrace.

I mean I'd probably use different language that disgrace.

Making me feel old is uncalled for!!!!! :-p

The great news is…. We have a night parade back- so things are going in the right direction.

But yes - all parks should have a daily parade in my opinion. (Or parade-like daytime performance - while kite-tails wasn’t it… a large day time show could check that box potentially).

agree with magic happens - it’s my favorite parade by like…. A lot. So well done.

criminal? No…. It was criminal that the horseshoe had no entertainment for the 70th.

But no day parade during the 70th is close!
They got the Pixar one at DCA at least.

@JD80: MH got cut in Sept 2024 and PTN started in May. Long gap without any parade and they have shelved it until after the 70th-but no guarantee it returns next Fall. I think it might return in 2027.

But some people go out of their way to be opinionated jerks all the time. I don't need to see that daily. I have a long list from here that are ignored because of that. I even tried clearing the list once. And most of them were back on the list within a week.

I'm truly struggling to think of a single poster here that fits that description.

Granted, I work in a middle school, so my tolerance is pretty high lol.

I have the most difficult time with people who seem to display no sense of humor.
I can disagree with a person, and certainly with some of their posts - but if they appear to completely lack humor or exist only to be contrarian - without humor - yeah, I have a difficult time with them on the boards just as I do with people like that in "real life."
