If the measure of Disney parks success was wait times on an app…that would mean somethingIt’s happening.

That sounds like a magical experiency experience…no doubtI'm content with a small slice of magic nowadays. Provided I can get it for 90% off of rack rate. The slice doesn't even have to be that big. Just so long as it can fit a few pepperonis and a decent amount of cheese.
Totally agree. Disney does NOT care about wait times, attendance or the guest experience. If the measure of Disney parks success was wait times on an app…that would mean something
It never has/never will

I must have missed something. What’s going for 90% off rack rate?I'm content with a small slice of magic nowadays. Provided I can get it for 90% off of rack rate. The slice doesn't even have to be that big. Just so long as it can fit a few pepperonis and a decent amount of cheese.

Right no one should be surprised by that, but the discounts do vary depending on what's happening in the world. We all know Disney was going to do its annual price increases on everything like they have done for decades no matter what is happening in the world.
They only have so much money, but there is an endless supply of debt to be had. If credit dries up you'll really see attendance drop.Disney's annual price increases greatly outpaces inflation, wages, tariffs, strength of dollar and everything else.
Folks only have so much money to spend at WDW...
Discounts are fake and temporary just to try to pull folks in to spend money on everything they raised prices of.Right no one should be surprised by that, but the discounts do vary depending on what's happening in the world.
That's fair.In the 80s and into the 90s they were far more unique experiences and offered upgraded amenities and services… so yes in the terminology of tiering, it was appropriate to use a word like deluxe… to differentiate between the offers.
I think it still works that way. Even if they aren't as distinct as they once were, the three tiers remain different from each other. The language was a tier label - more than an adjective
I stand corrected. Thank you. I can remember the plaques hanging near the convention area. They must have been 4 stars lol.Maybe I'm missing something? Not seeing a single Disney-owned resort with a 5-Diamond rating.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas-Jambo House (2011)

You know…if cardboard is smothered in enough mozz and pork products…it’s not half badIt's give and take. Sometimes the slice still tastes like cardboard.

The confusion there might have been that Victoria and Alberts got the 5 I think a handful of times in its existence…and Jiko might have gotten it once?I stand corrected. Thank you. I can remember the plaques hanging near the convention area. They must have been 4 stars lol.
I just slide the toppings off the cardboard and eat the toppingsYou know…if cardboard is smothered in enough mozz and pork products…it’s not half bad
Very underated
Jiko got 4 back in the day. No longer.Jiko might have gotten it once?
I think @flynnibus is correct in saying the word we’re using should be premium. The confusion there might when been that Victoria and Alberts got the 5 I think a handful of times in its existence…and Jiko might have gotten it once?
Still an accomplishment
As far as lodging…3/4 is about right.
The problem is “luxury” has to be a 5 and that’s their price level…before a near mandatory 40% discount - of course.
