An all-new British-themed gastropub, Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby, is coming to Downtown Disney District and will be located atop the new Earl of Sandwich:

Here's a look at the concept art Disney shared:

Full details:
Does he come out and yell and curse at you when serving you the food?

Not sure how this would relate but is this why construction has seemingly stalled? They were ironing out the details of this first?
Could be, as you don't want to complete the build until you know what the next tenant needs, especially as big as one as Ramsay. I hear he like his kitchen layout a certain way, he is very particular. Easier to do it while still constructing rather than have to tear it out and start over.

I'm looking forward to this; I wonder what deal Earl's did with Gordon's team, seems like Gordon granted rights to his likeness and recipes but Earl's will run it?

Yeah I’d go sooner than later. I feel like all these restaurants with big celebrity names attached go downhill after the hype settles down and the kitchen/ chefs start drifting further and further from the original standards.

Those type places mean the celebrity is just involved in name only. However I suspect with Ramsay he will likely keep an eye on quality because his name is tied to cooking and quality, I mean that is his whole brand after all.

Yea usually name only or maybe they re there to help set standards in the beginning and for all the media stuff and then disappear. But hope you’re right.

I like how this new DTD is shaping up from a culinary perspective. Lots of diverse flavors and variety in the environments in which they're served.

Yeah much better than a few years ago. Still missing some sushi/ Japanese. How are the New Mexican spots? Haven’t tired them. I don’t want to get carried away but some Thai or Indian would be good too. Haha. I’m thinking a few Indian dishes might sneak into Gordon’s restaurant?

Doesn't Din Tai Fung cover the Thai food category? Maybe not traditional Thai of course, so some will find that insulting. ;)

I've checked the concept art from when it was Earl Sandwich's Canaby Tavern and its identical, so not sure if Ramsay had any influence on the restaurant's interior design

I really like Centrico. Even the seating area & chips and salsa by themselves are pretty much perfect for my needs.

Not everything I've tried there has been to my taste, but nothing has been bad.

I’ll have to try either that one or the one upstairs one of these trips. I had a steak quesadilla from the QS spot - Tiendita. I remember it being good but must not have been great or we would have went back.
