The Mandalorian & Grogu (Lucasfilm - 2026 Theatrical)

I watched Rebels and Clone Wars, those were really good. Bad Batch I watched for a bit, but just sort of lost interest for whatever reason. Like I said, Andor just does nothing for me personally.

I thought the first season of Andor was very boring and didn't like it. But season 2 was actually very good and entertaining (though it started off slow) so if you are like me, you might enjoy it if you gave it a shot.

I was looking at the views of the trailer across various social media platforms. And here is where the trailer currently stands:

Facebook (via the official Star Wars FB page) - 67.6 million views: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CWpTX4hFp/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Twitter/X (on the official Star Wars Twitter account - 9.7 million views (the same views the announcement of the movie got back in January 2024):

Instagram (on the official Star Wars Instagram account) - 12.7 million views:

YouTube (on the official Star Wars YouTube page) - 9 million views:

TikTok (on the official Star Wars TikTok page) - 27.1 million views:

Can’t get the views from Threads or Snapchat.

But across these social media platforms combined, the trailer has a total of 126.1 million views across all platforms.

So, in the first 24 hours, the trailer must have made over 100 million views globally.

So, it must have a shot at $500M worldwide on a $166M budget to be a hit.

While I think it'll likely do well overall, I think we've seen now with multiple examples that trailer views does not necessarily equate to box office ticket sales.

The real question is why do the space horses even trigger some people? Its a plot device just like any other in the franchise, nothing more. Sure maybe its not the best plot device ever created, but its surely not the worst or even dumbest.
