I stumbled uponsome old footage of the klyde Beatty Coal Bros Circuis and found this gem. These are the Kristos that performed in Innoventions. I forgot they were with that circus and did not expect to see them pop up in this video.

As ba

As much as I don’t like it they treated them better than most, Ringling Bros was disgusting to their animals
You can look them up to see the long list of abuse and neglect violations for which they were fined [ETA: to save you the trouble: https://www.bornfreeusa.org/2000/02/24/new_cole_brothers_circus_fact_sheet/] No circus animal is well treated; they all perform under duress and out of fear.

ETA: At any rate, thanks for removing the footage.

I’m learning something new but I believe you, all they really needed was the human acts, maybe a dog act there more travelers than a wild animal.

The footage is horrible. So sad to see animals treated that way.
There are many who don’t think any live animals should be in Disney Parks and resorts. I personally think Disney takes good care of them.

I obviously can’t speak for all circus shows - but I’m sure there were some that treated animals well.

And I would be one of them. But that has nothing to do with this thread.

What is your certainty based on? Have you actually looked into how circus animals are trained? Or researched the welfare records of even the most famous and "reputable" circus companies? Because I can assure you that if you had, you wouldn't be asserting such a thing. It is impossible to train wild animals like tigers and elephants to perform circus tricks except through violence and coercion. That the bullhook (look it up if you don't know what it is) is a required tool for training elephants should tell you something.

My position is not a radical one:
