I have a “wound monitor” (someone from Magic actually 😂) who assesses regular photos of my hand.

He says it’s getting better. So yay!

I’m going to have to keep it completely covered for at least another week though. My start date for work has been delayed by a couple of weeks, so more healing time for me.

The Packers game last night was a lot of fun! We had good seats in the endzone, 12 rows up. We had two TDs scored right in front of us. After the game, we watched the live after show on Thursday Night Football. They interviewed Micah Parsons, and there were some really fun moments with the fans interacting with him. If you follow the NFL, you know that Jerry Jones is the owner/GM of the Cowboys and the person who traded Parsons to the Packers. We all started chanting "Thank you, Jerry!", but it was during a commercial break. So the host said to all of us before they came back on air, "If you want to start that chant again for TV, that'd be great!" 🤣

I won something like 70 dollars at a dutch casino once and happily walked away. We went with my in-laws and they gave each of us 20 euros to gamble with. I went to a roulette table and watched for a bit and noticed a sort of pattern....the ball seemed to travel at pretty regular distances, so every 7 turns or so, it would land in the mid-teens. So I waited for it to get to that time and put my money on something in that range....I think 13, because the previous two had been 12 and 15? And I won. That was the only game I played all night and I was the only one who won anything.

Where I grew up, we were only a couple of hours from the Black Hills in South Dakota. We went there a few times a year and we had friends who owned a hotel in Hill City and would let us stay for free if mom helped out cleaning and such for a few hours each day. And it's not a long drive to Deadwood, which is a huge gambling town, famous for Wild Bill Hickock's death. Mom would bring a roll of nickels and play the nickel slots until they were gone and that was it.

They have to monitor you and baby for at least 30 minutes before administering any sort of pain meds, and they decided I was too dialated to have pain meds because they didn't know how soon I would deliver, if they even had the 30 minutes. A few HOURS later, he was born.

So who is sick at your house? E woke up yesterday with a sinus infection, I'm pretty sure, and she thinks she's developing an ear infection to go with it. Poor girl. She stayed home from school yesterday, and now she is lucky to have the weekend, but she's supposed to help bake for her study organization's cake lunch on Monday, with the lunch being on Tuesday. I don't know if she's going to make it.

Tell her I said rest up and get well soon. Dh slept a little funny yesterday:cautious: I heard about it all night, but at least he ordered me a new purse that's been sitting in my wish list forever. I'm hard on bags, really hard, even though I try and be careful. I can buy a more expensive purse that's extremely well made and a year later it's in the shop or I have to make a repair even if I'm rotating bags and I don't use one every day, anyhoo I haven't bought one since the before times because I got a few at end of season sales before then. He ordered the plain black one which will get me through winter and I have a few spring ones on my list, keeping my fingers crossed for Christmas or my birthday. I also need a new pair of black shoes, that I'll go hunting for in person. I'm good on summer shoes/sandals for quite a while. I don't get it I'm not hard on shoes:hilarious:
