The rumor is that the interiors are very delayed.
We are now sailing less than a month after the maiden. Hopefully not too many teething problems.
I feel sorry for everyone who will lose out here.The maiden voyage of the Disney Adventure has been delayed to March 10, 2026:
Disney Cruise Line’s (DCL) first Asia cruise, Disney Adventure, will not be bringing its magic to Singapore’s shores by December as originally planned.
The ship’s maiden voyage will be postponed from Dec 15 to March 10, 2026, due to shipbuilding delays. An official statement from DCL stated that voyages scheduled from Dec 15 to March 12, 2026, will be impacted.
Mr Joe Schott, president of Disney Signature Experiences – a segment of the company that handles family travel and leisure experiences – said in the statement: “As we work on the final touches to bring the Disney Adventure to our guests, we’ve encountered unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process.
“To ensure the experience we deliver reflects our commitment to excellence, we’ve made the decision to adjust our timeline. We know this may be disappointing to our guests, and we’re working directly with them to offer flexible rebooking options and uphold the trust they place in us.”
Those who have booked the Dec 15 sailing will automatically be placed on the new maiden sailing on March 10, and will receive a 50 per cent refund.
If they are unable to make it for the new date, they will be offered a full refund and a 50 per cent discount for a future sailing on a date of their choice, valid for cruises departing on or before March 31, 2027. Requests for these refunds must be made by Sept 21.
All other passengers will be offered a full refund. They can also rebook a sailing of their choice at 50 per cent discount during the same validity period.

Considering they continue to invest in enhancements, changes and refurbs...that isn't happening any time soon.
We are worried about this also, and just got off the Magic a week ago, but she was still in pretty great shape, a few normal wear and tear issues but overall we were very impressed with how well she’s been maintained, diminished our fears a bit, I think the Magic and Wonder probably have another decade of life left in them, at least until the next class of smaller ships start sailing to replace them.
But... think about the yield management that must be achieved! Why bother selling perfectly fine 2500 room ships when they can sell brand-new, MAGICAL!!! 3000 room ships crammed with the most Disney IP per square inch for 50% more per room!!!
Except evidence is they aren't selling out the new ships. Indeed they are nowhere near selling out these ships like they did pre-COVID. Yes it is all yield management as there are now discounts on nearly every cruise out of Florida to some extent along with much wider open discounts at select times. Also from what Crew Members on board have said to guests recently it seems like they've been filling some cruises with heavily discounted CM rates.
This really is not a surprise. discounting was Totally anticipated on my part. DCL going from 4 ships to 8 in as many years and many more are still on the way. One thing they did that did that was clever was they really have jacked up the price and now they can discount heavily and really that discount price is arguably still higher than the old price was 5 years ago. Or at least not terribly lower than it was 5 years ago. per person per night with the new " discounted " pricing and yet now they have eight ships producing revenue instead of just four.
RCL is still doing well and above pre-pandemic levels. I just did my first Celebrity cruise over Thanksgiving, which opened my eyes to the point where we now have one booked in Japan for 2027.
