Trip Report It's a Cool Kid Summer!

8 days.
6 park days, 1 water park day, 1 rest day.
0 naps, 0 going back to the hotel, morning til evening every day.
In August!

They said not to do it, but we did it anyways. Summer is the time for fun, and there was a lot of fun to be had, and we weren't leaving anything on the table.

Who: Our usual Party of 4: myself, husband J, son Nemo (7), daughter Boo (5)
What: Our annual Walt Disney World vacation
When: August 13 - August 20, 2025
Where: Pop Century - for that last time? Dun dun dun...
Why: We usually go in May, but waited for summer this year so as to not miss school, since we took off a week in January for our Disney Cruise. Our May trips have always been nothing short of perfection, so I was apprehensive about going during August. Replacing Flower & Garden Festival with just…heat, humidity, and hurricanes?! Sounded like a bad deal. But slowly… things started to come together. Both water parks would be open. Starlight Parade would be starting. Halloween decorations would be up. And the kids would hit new height milestones. Couple all of those exciting developments with cheap resort rates and 50% off kids tickets, and it turned out to be one of the cheapest Disney vacations we’ve had since the kids became of age. Count us in!

We arrived at Pop Century around 10am. The kids went straight to their “Disney Kids Club” aka the TV in the lobby while I went to the front desk. I saw Dale roaming outside Everything Pop and Chip was in the Kids Club being ignored by my kids in favor of the TV.
IMG_9527 - Copy.JPG

Our room was ready, so we rolled along the familiar winding path to the 50’s section, past Lady and Tramp. Our hallway had a view of the Skyliner, so that was very pleasing for us Skyliner fanatics.
IMG_3506.JPG

We changed into our bathing suits and were standing outside Blizzard Beach at 11am. We were serious about this free water park day. When I found out that both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon would be open this summer, I literally screamed. We loved our time at Typhoon Lagoon last year, and it gave us the Blizzard Beach itch badly. I even played with the idea of staying at a Disney resort the night before our cruise just so we could to take them there while it was actually open. (We didn't end up doing that). So it was a happy surprise that Blizzard Beach would be open this summer. I knew that the silly theming would be a hit. Nemo kept saying, “Remember to bring a sweatshirt since it’s going to be cold.” It was definitely not cold. It was 90 degrees and sunny, but we felt great in our swim shirts, hats and water socks. We honestly looked ridiculous, but hey, we felt great.
IMG_3530.JPG

Our first order of business was to eat. We walked right up to Lottawatta Lodge and sat at a quiet, shaded picnic table with no one else around. I was more interested those nachos at Warming Hut, but this was closer. J got a Bacon Cheeseburger, I got a Rice Bowl with Chicken, and the kids split a Cheese Flatbread.
IMG_3526.JPG

We ate at our leisure and Nemo commented about icicles and Boo shouted, "Goofy!" He had come out and was dressed for the pool as well. We hopped over to meet him after finishing lunch and it was a great start to our day.
IMG_3541 - Copy.JPG

The Chairlift was high priority. The kids were in awe and so ready to ride. Nemo noticed the accessible cabin and shouted, "It's the Skyliner!" Both kids seemed concerned that Summit Plummet looked less than safe with the ski jump.
IMG_3554.JPG

I think our Summit Plummet days are behind us.
Capture.PNG

We had our eye on Teamboat Springs, the family raft ride. We enjoyed some great views while we waited on this fine day. Nemo kept talking about seeing the backside of Everest, the top of the Tree of Life, and the Pandora floating mountains. From another angle, we could see Tower of Terror and Galaxy's Edge.
IMG_3565.JPG

Teamboat Springs was a hit! Nemo shouted, "This is just like the raft ride at Typhoon Lagoon!" The one that Boo did not appreciate us taking on last year. But she was all for it this time. She yelled, "I'm holding on!" Both weeee'ed and ahhhh'ed with identical faces as we went down and around curve after hill and curve. It was the first of many cup-filling moments this trip.
Capture2.PNG

We walked back up Mount Gushmore and saw some melting snow and leaks. They played along with that and yelled “Hurry before the avalanche!” Boo had said, "I want to do it again!" but Mom had other plans:
IMG_3577.JPG
Toboggan Racers is my inexplicable favorite. I love the purple mats, I always favor up and down more than turns, and I've always loved doing it side by side with J. And now, I'm doing it side by side with J +2.

Riding the Monorail through Contemporary never gets old. In fact, it instantly made Contemporary shoot up the list past Riviera for Nemo. Monorail Lime whizzed right by his face as we waited for the elevator.
IMG_5151.JPG

We followed our usual order of business which was shopping, arcade, then lobby for some TV. J and I were a little damp and therefore, quite chilly. But we were able to decompress for a bit before our dinner at...
IMG_5153 - Copy.JPG

...Chef Mickey's! It was a last minute decision, but since we had been QSing for a while, I thought this would be a worthwhile change of pace over our original plans to eat at Contempo Cafe (which honestly is so good, I would not have been mad). When I told the kids we would be dining with a view of the Monorail AND Mickey & Friends, they both shouted, "YAY!!!"
IMG_5160 - Copy.JPG

I don't think they had ever realized there was a world famous (or maybe infamous?) character buffet right next to our usual dining spot, probably because we had always ate earlier before the festivities started. They were ready to enjoy their view and some food, and so were we.
IMG_5155.JPG

You read a lot of unfavorable reviews of the food here but I mean, I thought it was pretty good. Granted, I had been living off of everyone's QS scraps for a few days, so maybe my standards were lower than usual. J unsurprisingly and eloquently agreed saying, "This food is f****** delicious. People are high out of their minds." I later wondered to him why I didn't get a picture of his plate and he said it was probably because it was "full of crap like corn dog nuggets and tater tots". So it probably looked like the kids' plate, but without the fruit and vegetables:
IMG_5156 - Copy.JPG

We were so ravenous that we went through two rounds of food before the music started playing and introductions for the whole gang began. I have to say, the character interaction was pretty great. I don't think I truly understood what people meant when they said that until this year, with the kids being obsessed with laughing and talking with the characters. It really used to just be a wave, sign, and picture. Minnie signed "To Nemo" and "To Boo" and all four of us were stunned. "How did she know?!" She must have recognized you from the last time you met her!
IMG_5166 - Copy.JPG

Donald was next and Nemo gave him the "Ah Phooey!" and then he said, "He wrote Donald Duck #1." It dawned on me that we had never met Donald before so that was the first time we were encountering that. I told them pose with #1 fingers and it was very cute.
IMG_5172 - Copy.JPG

Boo started losing her marbles when Pluto came over and held the autograph book to his eyes on his nose. She remembered that from Garden Grill and was shrieking and cackling. I love when characters get down to be at eye-level with the kids. Pluto and Nemo exchanged the sweetest hug and Nemo was tickled by Pluto's whiskers.
Capture10.PNG

She was bouncing off the walls when Goofy came, jumping up and down nonstop. She looked so tiny next to Goofy, so was so tall I couldn't get him in the frame. Nemo announced every single Monorail sighting during the meal.
Capture11.PNG

Rounding out our whirlwind of visitors, Chef Mickey himself! Boo opened up the autograph book for him and said, "We have a lot of you in here." I helped them put character stickers on each page so she rifled through the book showing him the various Mickeys we had. Then we got a great family picture with Mickey. The character attendant knew what she was doing, having us pose with the Mary Blair mural in the background. My kind of people.
IMG_5202 - Copy.JPG

The characters would walk by again and wave, or even maybe play peekaboo from behind the wall we were sitting next to. There was a get up-and-dance parade type thing with them, but our kids are not those type kids. They just continued to observe and eat. Boo discovered she liked minestrone soup and Nemo ate an extra bowl of mac and cheese and a few extra bowls of fruit. Taking them to get dessert is always fun. Nemo chose a single chocolate chip cookie while Boo opted for a sugar cookie, the Minnie strawberry cake, and the ever-intriguing soft serve machine. I told them to take their plate/bowl back to Daddy while I got desserts for myself, and they did. That’s another core memory of mine as a kid. Being in charge of myself at the buffet. It was a omg-we-can-do-this-now moment. I guess I was too eager to stuff my face with desserts that I forgot the picture, but there were desserts themed after each of the Fab 5, from cupcakes to pudding cups to Oreo domes. So fun to try them all! It was an expensive, chaotic, fun, and satisfying meal. It was basically our last dinner so we were leaving with full bellies and happy hearts.

My original post-dinner plans involved a relaxing evening of touring Polynesian and Grand Floridian. I was thinking... Dole Whip on the beach, GF lobby - oh wait it's being refurbed... What I really think we all wanted... was to go for another evening swim. I really had no idea just how big a factor the pool would become this trip. We have really been savoring those times! The kids were down for it, and we left Contemporary while still watching Monorails glide over our heads as we walked towards the MK bus stops. Contemporary was so cold, I was actually happy to go back outside.
Capture12.PNG

I saw a double bus at the Art of Animation stop and just knew we had to do it. Nemo was over the moon. He stood right in the middle of the bus and grinned so hard, watching the bus turn with such a sparkle in his eye. We only rode "Double Bus" once before and he has always said, "Maybe we'll get really lucky again." Today was that day, little boy. Boo looked out the window the whole time. She was very quiet unless she saw something she recognized. "Peter Pan bus. Star Wars land. Swan and Dolphin!"
IMG_5225 - Copy.JPG

We decided to walk around AoA since we were there. We stumbled upon the campfire and got to roast marshmallows. Another nice surprise to mark off our wish list, since it was canceled the other night.
IMG_5227 - Copy.JPG

They put on "shows" for us at home on the baby monitors in their rooms (yes, we still spy on them) and always sing Hakuna Matata. So obviously, this was the big stage.
IMG_5230 - Copy.JPG

And the Elephant Graveyard was being refurbished last year so they were happy to see it again. But the happiest place of all...
IMG_5236 - Copy.JPG

They ran from car to car on a self-directed photoshoot doing the funniest poses. Nemo had the hands on the hips, the Captain Morgan stand, and Boo had her hands behind her head or in the air, and the tongue out or the smize going.
Capture13.PNG

We struck gold with Golden Hour as we walked all the way back to our room.
IMG_5258.JPG

We had such a beautiful evening. Swimming together, watching the sky turn to night. Nemo pointed out the lone star in the sky and it was a moment.
IMG_5274 - Copy.JPG

I lost track of time. Even though it was late, they wheedled their way into more pool time. Seeing them bob around together made my heart happy. Then they wanted to see the jukebox again. Back at the room, they wanted me to join them in the bath tub again. It's our last night... who am I to say no?

The wee hours of the morning and I have become best friends. But only on vacation. So for the last time, I slipped out of the room and took a walk in the dark. All was quiet. Just the sound of the Skyliner moving and humming along. My new favorite sound.
IMG_5280.JPG

Gonna miss all of this.
IMG_5282.JPG

I just know this is nostalgia in the making for the kids.
IMG_5283.JPG

I decided to head to the lobby because I had a question. Yesterday, I saw a family who had clearly went to Cinderella's Royal Table because they were carrying their sword and wand. But they also had a postcard with a beautiful Cinderella mosaic and the princesses' signatures on the back. We had gotten similar ones from all our previous character dining experiences, including Chef Mickey's yesterday. I didn't think much about it at the time, but now I was itching to get one to add to the collection. I asked a CM at the Front Desk if there was anything they could do to help me obtain one today, since we weren't going to Magic Kingdom and we were also leaving. She could only advise me to email Guest Services. A little bummed, but I would give it a shot. Right now in fact, while it was fresh in my mind. While I hung around typing, someone offered me their unused Disney Dining Plan credits for breakfast. Wow, yes please! She ordered TWO Waffle Bounty Platters and I was right there at 7am to pick it up. I was simply amazed other's generosity and my good fortune. I brought it back to the room and woke the gang with surprise-breakfast-in-bed with Mickey cartoons. In all my excitement, I forgot to pick up utensils though... so we ate chunks of scrambled eggs by hand.
IMG_5294 - Copy.JPG

By 8am, J had dropped off our luggage with Bell Services and we said goodbye to our home and headed towards Skyliner. We had one more day to fulfill a tall order...
IMG_5305.JPG

...at Epcot.
IMG_5297.JPG

I originally had Lightning Lanes booked for this day because I was able to secure a 9am Test Track, but I had moved them to Animal Kingdom. I knew then that it was the right call because we would not have had a smooth AK day without it. And that if we had to wait in lines at Epcot, they'd all be quite nice and indoors.
IMG_5305.JPG

We were waffling between rope dropping Ratatouille (closer) and Test Track (more popular). Ratatouille was down, so Test Track it was. It said 40 minutes at 8:45, which we didn't think was terrible (cheers to self-growth!). Plus, we were curious to see the new queue.
Capture.PNG

Nemo was ecstatic from the moment he walked inside. "It's a rocket car! The rocket-powered kind!" He said it looked like Nile.
IMG_5311 - Copy.JPG

He talked pretty much the whole time while we snaked through the line. He also said, "Why is there a smart car here? Smart cars aren't cool." Boo asked, "Is the ride fast?" And I was like, "No... not too fast..." And J mumbles, "It's the fastest ride in Disney." Shh!
IMG_5312 - Copy.JPG

The wait time proved to be accurate, and completely worth the wait. for the kids. They were so excited as we hopped into the car, J and Nemo in the front, Boo and I in the back. Just the four of us. So funny how my muscle memory and vision of this ride is so much more 1.0 than 2.0. But 3.0 was definitely impressive. The car-changing part was cool and I really really liked the retheme Handling test to the cruising through the woods. The music gets a two-thumbs up from me. And the last scene before the outside part... my jaw literally dropped. It was dramatic, it was outstanding. I won't forget that feeling. Outside was a blast! I told Boo her hair looked crazy and she told me, "Yours looks crazier."
IMG_5321 - Copy.JPG

Both kids said that Test Track was "SO COOL" and that they wanted to do it again. We had other things to do, but I was so happy that it was such a hit with them. They both proclaimed Test Track their favorite ride of the trip. Success!

We walked to World Showcase on a high. It was a relatively lovely morning and the kids took some time to gaze at Showcase Lagoon before we moved on to Norway. Frozen posted a 45 minute wait, and it seemed like a now or never, so we joined the line.
IMG_5328.JPG

It was less than that, and it was nice to just chill and observe the queue. We weren't in a rush.
IMG_5329.JPG

In fact, we never had the chance to wait in this part of the line before. There was to discover!
IMG_5330.JPG

Boo was getting excited to see her queen.
IMG_5331 - Copy.JPG

They always note when "we're outside now." These details have always been important to me. I have taught them well.
IMG_5333.JPG

Seeing Wandering Oaken appear in the steamy window made them smile. They were so patient and cheerful, it really helped give me a new perspective on lines this year. Nemo was very excited to see "the dragon boat". The loading dock was closer than we thought! It was a magical ride. The first scene always gives me a wondrous feeling. Also, looking upwards during Let it Go really brought the magic.
Capture1.PNG

Gift shop finds: the playset Boo already purchased from Hollywood Studios. And Nemo, a "candle snuffer outer".
IMG_5337 - Copy.JPG

I love feeling like the only people at Epcot.
Capture2.PNG

Food & Wine Festival would start in about a week and we were not sad about missing it.
Capture3.PNG

We went to Germany to watch trains, of course. Boo got in on the action this time. The weather was nicer again this morning. They each picked a train and followed them up and down the road for a long while.
IMG_5344 - Copy.JPG

Yup, our Eat Around the World days have been replaced with... sitting on a bench and watching your kids live their best lives. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

I gathered the group for our family picture of the day. We had been taking them first thing in the mornings while everyone was nice and fresh, but since we were a little preoccupied today, it would be now. Surpassingly, we all still looked quite decent. However, it was Nemo that suggested we retake the picture. Why? "To get the Friendship Boat in it." I love this kid.
IMG_5363 - Copy.JPG

We went to visit Italy since we didn't do a deep dive last time around. "I like this one, you like that one. Which one do you like Mom?" Kinda none really... they're kinda creepy.
IMG_5373 - Copy.JPG

We made wishes at the Trevi Fountain. Since we don't have coins, we use flower petals. Nemo again wished that he could bring his funny word list on vacation. I'm like dude, you don't have to wish for that you know... you can just do it. Boo wished for, "MY BEST MOM!" and tackled me with a hug.
Capture4.PNG

I thought about sitting down for The American Adventure, but the showtime interfered with lunch time, which was looking like Regal Eagle, so we just popped in to listen to Voices of Liberty, and check out the American Heritage Gallery. Neither was particularly interesting to the kids, but we were just covering all our unexplored spots thus far.
IMG_5375 - Copy.JPG

Now The Art of Disney Store is always a hit.
IMG_5376.JPG

Lots of "Mom, come look at this!" and "It's 3-D!" and "I found something you will like..."
IMG_5377.JPG

What I like? Snowglobes. 14 year old me would have BEGGED to take this beauty home.
IMG_5378.JPG

I had periodically been checking Ratatouille wait times and it had been high after opening late. However, I checked this time and it said 20 minutes! We were planning to eat lunch soon, but not anymore. We told the kids to hop in the stroller, gave them some Skittles, and we booked it to France. (So beautiful here...)
IMG_5379.JPG

We practically walked on.
Capture5.PNG

We skipped it last year so the kids' memories of it were a little fuzzy. Mine too, honestly. But they put their glasses on and sat together in the front and held on tight.
IMG_5384 - Copy.JPG

A fun little adventure for these fun-loving kids.

Never doubt the good in your fellow human. ( I am a retired LEO, I have seen a lot of bad.) I have seen so many great things at WDW, and maybe given a few myself. It feels so good to make someone's day. I have seen it many times with guests and CM's. There was a thread on here, but it went dead. It was great stuff. I found a wallet on the ground at MK (Stepped on it) during a lightning delay for the fireworks. I brought it to a cast member. She told me if she took it at closing, it would probably take the owner 1 to 2 days to get it from lost and found. She said just call out the name and I found your wallet. I tried that and got no response. A guy next to me started to shout to the crowd to help. A few thousand people started shouting "John Smith" we have your wallet. It got louder and louder and he showed up within a few minutes. He matched the picture and all was good. I didn't count the money but there was a few grand there. 98% of most people are good.

Thanks for sharing your story, truly wonderful! I feel the same way about people at Disney. Of course, there are so many there that you're bound to meet all kinds, but in general, most are kind. CMs are pleasant and helpful, a huge departure from anywhere else, and it just feels nice to be in a positive atmosphere like that.

The clock had just struck noon and we had rode all three headliners just like that. I was thrilled. If you haven't noticed, I'm not big on backtracking at WDW, or anywhere for that matter. I didn't want to walk back to Regal Eagle, so I proposed that we go all the way to The Land to eat at Sunshine Seasons instead. That way, they could “pick their own food” (sorta kinda not really) and then we'd be well-positioned to finish out our agenda for the day.
IMG_5397.JPG

Boo chose Stir-fried Shrimp and she ate well. Nemo thought his Mongolian Beef was spicy (it kinda was) so he ate J's Roast Beef Sandwich instead (not pictured). So we basically just ate everything family-style.
IMG_5396.JPG

We sat under the sight of our favorite hot air balloons and enjoyed the sounds of chatter echoing through the pavilion. The kids ate their bags of SunChips and kept doing Gopher impressions. "Summerrr squash - chchchch."
Capture6.PNG

We had a view of Living with the Land and I was all too pleased when the kids both asked if we could ride it again. Boo flinched during all the thunder. I love holding on to her little body. I just want to remember all the details of the forest. Wind, rain, streams. Rainforest waterfall mist, seeing Garden Grill. Desert, feeling like the norm. Prairie lightning. Yellow house with chickens and dog barking. Quintessential scene.
IMG_5401.JPG

At one point, Boo asked, "What is this, Mom?" And Nemo said, "It's called a Please Do Not Touch."
IMG_5404.JPG

They wanted me to take pictures of the tomatoes for their grandmother who has a tomato garden.
IMG_5407.JPG

Maybe she should try it.
IMG_5408.JPG

As we descended from The Land, the kids stopped to admire the sign that I remember so vividly as a kid. Except it said Nestle back then.
IMG_5411 - Copy.JPG

It was about 1:30pm and we were doing great on time. I knew the kids wanted to journey into water again so we changed shoes and headed to Moana.
IMG_5417 - Copy.JPG

Boo guided me around, telling me to try all the things. They never cease to be amazed when they walk through the rain curtain and it parts for them. At the bubble fountains, Nemo started collecting water in his hat and putting it on his head. Boo joined in the fun this time. For someone who says she doesn't want to get too wet, she ended up soaked and thrilled about it.
IMG_5433 - Copy.JPG

We watched them stomp, splash, and hop from jet to jet. Becoming very familiar with this rock bench and jamming out to We Know the Way, the best song of the soundtrack.

Eventually, Boo got tired of water play and wanted to change. I knew Nemo could go for a little more, and I wanted to give that to him. I told Boo I would take her on The Seas with Nemo. We held hands as we walked into the queue and I just couldn't help but marvel at my little baby. She started coming to Disney at two years old and was so shy, unsure of everyone and everything. Now she's riding new rides every day, chatting up characters and CMs, and truly blossoming from toddler to big kid. Yet, she still likes being my baby and remains oh so sweet. I see so much of myself in her. In how she gets things done, how she thinks about others, and how she makes the best of any situation. It's like watching my soul live outside my body. I'm so in love with her.
Capture7.PNG

We enjoyed walking through the cool, dark queue, and a peaceful ride. We went straight to the shop and waited for Daddy and Nemo to arrive. He came straight for the rock bin and they fruitlessly dug through all the geodes trying to find two matching halves. We also saw the scuba diver demonstration which was great for them to see what that chamber is used for.
IMG_5439.JPG

We emerged from under the sea and it was hot now. I immediately bought them another Frozen Strawberry Lemonade cup (which is best because the meltiness is contained). They held on to it and shared it as we walked back to World Showcase. We popped into the shops at Canada which were not all that interesting. The U.K. was much better, and felt quite authentic with all the British people around.
IMG_5442 - Copy.JPG

We found our family name in the big laminated book for fun, and Nemo ogled at all the dragon displays. They both put on ridiculous-looking helmets and banged their blue and pink swords against their shields.
Capture8.PNG

In the Pooh shop, Nemo got a funny idea to surprise Boo by putting a Pooh Bear stuffed animal in her stroller seat. She giggled at the sight of it. Next thing I knew, a Piglet appeared in the other seat.
IMG_5445.JPG

The U.K. pavilion is really pretty and quite extensive. It never feels crowded. It's starting to move up on my list for sure. The kids kept wanting to explore and asked to take pictures in the garden. Always grabbing onto each other, cheesing real big.
IMG_5452 - Copy.JPG

At 3:30pm, it was time to leave. And the kids were ready to go home. There was already talk of introducing their new toys to the rest of their toy friends. They fooled around in the stroller sticking their heads and arms out. Giggles and screams as we walked through International Gateway. From high in the sky, we saw so many things we did. It's always the best way to leave. And for the first time, we noticed the Cinderella Castle, Contemporary, and Bay Lake. That was really cool to see and it brought back a rush of gratitude for the time spent there.
IMG_5457 - Copy.JPG

Hourglass Lake. Pop became more home than ever this year. Even though summer weather made things somewhat unpredictable and I swore a few times that this combo should probably not happen again, the good really did outweigh the bad in the end. Through and through. Yes, it was hot. But for us, not as prohibitive as it may be for others. I know we managed ourselves extremely well: we were always hydrated, in the shade, and inside/outside at the right times. The crowds were excellent, the price was right, I might just do it again...
IMG_5463 - Copy.JPG

In the end, I'll be happy to be here no matter what. This place is something else. There's always someone there to help. Something to do. Places to see. Things to eat. Memories to make. We tried everything and have so many stories to tell. The nostalgia was real this year. We were really doing the same things, eating at the same places, and walking the same paths that we did 15 years ago as 20 year olds, but with them now. At the same time, I'm also 5 years old again and walking around the resort at night with my parents.

I feel like we’ve said goodbye to the toddler chapter of Disney and have entered the kid era. Just little things like sending them outside the room when they’re ready and we’re almost ready, and seeing them smiling at us in the window. Boo lifting up her arms and jumping up and down acting like a baby saying, "eh eh eh" when she wants to be carried, which is always. Nemo being a big boy and sitting by himself on the bus when we couldn't sit together. Watching them run ahead of us at full speed, but somehow, it's in slow motion. Like in the commercials. There were so many moments where J and I just sat back and said, “Look at them.” It is bittersweet, but also comforting to know that we're all just growing old together, and these adventures will continue in different, still beautiful ways.

If you're still here, thanks for reading and giving me a space to be... well, me. To be able to express myself to others who may understand just what it is about Disney or feel the same way about it is a nice feeling. We all share in some of the same happiness in this world.

Oh, and if you're wondering if I ever got that Cinderella's Royal Table Card, it came in the mail this past week:
IMG_5763.jpg

It reminds me of... Boo's wide-eyed gaze at Aurora, Nemo's mac and cheese-stained face, and a dream that came true.

This may be hard to explain, but the way you talk (write) about your children, I feel like I can see them even though I haven't. You have such a way with describing them and their movement, feelings, thoughts and words, that it seems like I've already met them in person. Thank you so much for taking the time, I've really enjoyed this report.

This makes me so happy, thank you! That is my hope… that I can remember all those things just writing. Thank you so much your kind words always!
