Was every available seat occupied when I was there? Yes. And after 45 minutes people were cycled through with no dillydallying.

Unless they’re planning on adding more seating or extending operational hours, I’m kind of at a loss as to how you get more people in there.
When I was there (the 2nd at 5pm on a mnsshp party day) it was low attendance with practically everything less than 20 minutes except Pan. I'd estimate it about 70% of capacity with most of them empty spaces being 4 tops in the main room and a third of the long common table empty. Side rooms were full both standing and mixed. The decor and furnishings are top notch, but the atmosphere Interactions with the props and robo bird are not to the level of the Grog grotto.

Went here on Monday for rum drinking at 10am (only time I could get) and it was nothing short of spectacular. It's like Trader Sams meets Pirates with some Adventurer's Club illusions mixed in. Had a blast. Food was good for having a simple pantry kitchen setup and even though the drinks were all from a tap (pre-mixed) they were very good. We need more things like this!

$100 bucks says we either have a Haunted Mansion Bar or Villians bar next. I want one in every land. Best thing Disney has done in years!

Aaand they're gone. Am I wrong for getting it twice on the same night? 5:30 and 9:45. Its regular admission and not during a party. I'm not that stupid.

We had the same quandary today at 1030 and 130 with liberty tree as the meat in that sandwich. So we've dropped the 1030 and liberty tree after a large breakfast although it means I'll be holding onto more of my gold, not seeking debauchery and gambling today... what a waste.

It's scheduled more than two hours after the first, so I can cancel the second after the 5:30 visit if I want. I'm definitely going to the 5:30 one.

Ok so you will go... and it will be checked off the list... and the list will be checked... and then you might go... again? (Glitches and falls over)

I'm kind of kidding. I've changed my list checking ways since taking my son to the parks. He might want to ride the train or the Speedway several times or just wander around, and I really enjoy that. That said, the same dining reservation twice in an evening is still a bridge too far for me, lol!

It's a lounge experience more than simple dining. I decided that my MK day would be one of experiencing other things than just always riding the rides. (I'll do the Tron Ares overlay, though). So I'll go to B&B, stop and listen to the Casey's Corner piano player, watch FOP and Starlight, and enjoy HEA. Oh, I'll work in a ride of HM as always.

Uh huh, uh huh, yes, I understand, sounds great (clutches list, sparks fly out of head, gets error message.)

My wide wanted a third mug so we got another one. Here's one of the better Rummy bits.

And IMHO, the drinks are not my wife and my flavor profiles. I'll take Kirschwasser, Goldschlager, or Jagermeister over any of these.

I didn't notice it on our first visit (but we sat near the entrance) but we sat in the Captain's Quarters this afternoon and here were guests being served standing beside narrow interior ledges (like a window sill).. perhaps thats where the addtional small party capacity came from ?

If it ever becomes a longer experience I definitely would head back. I'm not gonna lie, the drinks were pretty strong to me. It's just 45 minutes isn't that much time at all, you barely get to see the animatronic come out, I think I only saw it 3 times or in other words probably every 15 minutes. Hopefully the menu gets more fleshed out too, but overall I enjoyed everything I got.

It's like grog grotto to me, while TS is a must do everytime I go to DL, grog grotto is certainly missable.

“Best thing Disney has done in years!” is a Pirate-themed lounge…?!?!?!
That right up there speaks volumes.
When it comes to immersive theming, attention to detail, design that looks like there was no budget and hitting all cylinders, yes a Pirate Themed Bar is the best thing done in years IMHO. Better than...

Tiana that has empty space between scenes and constant broken AAs
Cosmic Rewind that thematically is shoe horned in EPCOT with Gensler Generic Design (The Ride is Great)
GEO 82 with off the shelf lighting and wall finishes
Test Track (While better than V2 still feels very budget driven)
Remy being a copy of Paris and too screen driven
EPCOT Gardens missing water fountain and full of shortcuts and budget slashes
Villians show that feels as temporary as it can be

Yep. I stand by my comment.

I wasn’t clear if donaldtoo was saying: “It’s absurd that you think that!”, or, alternately, if s/he was agreeing with you and saying “It’s absurd the best thing they’ve done in years is a pirate lounge!”

To be clear, I was in no way contesting, trying to minimize or discount your comments.
Sounds to me like we’re actually in, pretty much, total agreement. From all I’ve heard the place is very well done.
My point seems to be the same as yours…if they can do such a great job on a lounge, why haven’t they put as much effort into every project in recent years…?!
There was a time when it seemed no project was too small or insignificant for Disney to put their all into.
I guess we’ll see if they, maybe, “relearn” ;) from the accolades regarding this project, and carry it forward into, hopefully, all future projects……. :cyclops:
Hey, a guy can dream…!!! ;):)
