I mean, the ride can still be about Antonio's animals, after all the leaks shown there are really just the scenes/ride without the idea what specifically the story about the ride is going to be. Also DD23 is coming up in about three weeks from now so hopefully we get to know what the story will be there.Ah. So, yeah, it's just a tour of the house like I expected. The claims that it would be all about Antonio and his animal pals are seemingly bullcrap.
Nobody has ever said that. If Antonio has been mentioned, it's because his connection to animals is the hook they're using to connect it to the land and why it's in AK. It's always been a loose connection, but a connection none-the-lesss and Encanto fits better in a Tropical Americas land than the edge of Frontierland. Unfortunately, since it was announced you haven't thought Encanto should get a ride, so have repeatedly shown your dis-interest and I don't think any reason will justify the attraction's existence for youAh. Snow White and Sleeping Beauty would fit if there was Europe section. Think setting, not plot. There is no rule that the plot controls the theme, or that a movie can only contain one theme, or that an attraction must reference the entire movie. You could make that same claim about a movie like Snow White or (again) Mulan. Their settings have a lot of animals, but that doesn't make them fit Animal Kingdom.
Interesting that this specifically states that the ride will have Antonio chasing his family through the Colombian rainforest. Was that premise ever officially stated by Disney? If so apologies for forgetting.
Unbanshee's quote above is from https://disneyparksblog.com/wdw/tropical-americas-encanto-indiana-jones-animal-kingdom/From Disney:
"If you’re a fan of drawers, floors, and doors, let’s go! The first-ever “Encanto”-themed ride-through attraction is coming to Animal Kingdom, featuring the beloved Madrigal family from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Inside the Casita, Antonio has just received his special gift — the ability to communicate with animals — and his room has transformed into a rainforest. It’s time to go explore alongside him, and you never know what member of the family you might bump into…"
Are you sure that the sections featuring various characters are their bedrooms? Maybe they are show rooms featuring parts of the rainforest with the characters, per the article @flyerjab linked to in the post I quoted from above. No, it'll have his room at the end of the ride, but I assume we're going all throughout the Casita (and the rooms) during the ride, but here's a TL;DR of all the information we know if you want it

I really believe this will be a massive upgrade to Animal Kingdom.
Combing over Touring Plans attraction ratings: DAK may have lean attraction menu, but it might soon be the strongest.
Kilimanjaro and Flight of Passage are firmly within the top five attractions with the general public on property and Everest seems closely in the running for either 5th or 6th. Indy is a top 10 at Disneyland resort and if Encanto is an actual dark ride E ticket, it also has strong reception prospects. Lion King is the highest rated entertainment on property.
If (a big "if") they also add a new night time show and keep the park open later consistently this will totally transform the park and I think make it a much higher priority for more guests
(Which I am rooting for, I loved AK when it was open late)

In context, Snow White, etc. means attractions about the animals and natures scenes in those movies.Lol. So these are the depths to which we have sunken.
I mean I think the land is also more developed in DCA's area compared to Florida as some of the space iirc was completely unused. And Encanto had to go through the destruction of Dinoland firstI understand site prep takes forever but it’s crazy how they’ve already gone vertical in DCA at their new Marvel expansion but as far as I know they haven’t here or at MK or DHS.
I'm thinking vertical construction will begin once the boneyard closes, just to remove a vantage point for potential snooping of the worksite. I know at DLP, they close the Main Street Train Station when they install the town square christmas tree, just because it looks down on the construction siteI understand site prep takes forever but it’s crazy how they’ve already gone vertical in DCA at their new Marvel expansion but as far as I know they haven’t here or at MK or DHS.
I wonder why they care that much about it. Side note: Has anyone else seen that Tony Baxter panel where he’s going over old DL film and when they were building the subs, Matterhorn, etc. you could literally drive the Autopia through a construction site? I know that would never happen today. Still fun.I'm thinking vertical construction will begin once the boneyard closes, just to remove a vantage point for potential snooping of the worksite. I’ve always felt that even though it is short on rides, DAK has some of the best rides across the entire WDW property. Kilimanjaro Safari might still be one of the best attractions in WDW. I don’t need to speak of the popularity that has been FoP in Pandora, as well as how enjoyable the boat ride is. And Expedition Everest is an incredible Disney coaster.Combing over Touring Plans attraction ratings: DAK may have lean attraction menu, but it might soon be the strongest.

Seeing as the crane is in the background, is it possible that the Encanto show building could be going up vertical in the coming weeks? Or is the crane for the retaining wall the is being demolish and replaced?
I was wondering why they did that! On my last day there it was closed and it was a head scratcher.know at DLP, they close the Main Street Train Station when they install the town square christmas tree, just because it looks down on the construction site
