Except for The Cove. Yes I wrote it. I rather it was called The Cove than Swan Reserve. I don't know who built Swan Reserve but it screams Disney Aventura Hotel!Ya know it's funny comparing all these hotels to a Marriott when the two actual Marriott hotels on Disney property (the swan and dolphin) look better than the modern Disney hotels like this and the poly tower.
The Contemporary is not concrete. US Steel did not build and intend to own a concrete building.Blends as in grey concrete next to grey concrete? Yes.
Blends as in architectural style? No.

New resorts don’t increase park attendance. This place is so massive, the MK can not hold all these people that you know are going to be staying there and beelining right for that park. Its not going to be pretty with the strain it will be bring and to the fort and lodge etc, unless it has its specific own boats and busses etc. The Lodge probably has the best bus transportation of any of the resorts, watch them just lump this into that and it no longer be as smooth running or comfortable.
Yes, an interactive water play area is planned. It’s a bit more than a splash pad.If the blue represents the planned pools and lazy river, sign me up! Maybe a quiet pool overlooking Bay lake, a large lazy river and what looks like a decent sized family pool. Obviously hoping they can theme the pool areas as well but this looks promising to me! Is there a planned splash pad for little ones?
I hear they are calling it River something.....Yes, an interactive water play area is planned. It’s a bit more than a splash pad.
I sadly agree. I think this is just the beginning and you will see the camping area cut down or moved entirely. Which is sad- I know a lot of people who love the campgrounds but I am willing to bet they spend more time at the campground itself than the parks.Right now an entire wing of the new tower will enjoy majestic views of the Pioneer Hall service area. Which makes absolutely no sense.
Between this, the new cabins, and the giant new pool area next to the existing Meadows pool, there's no way Ft. Wilderness continues to exist in any recognizable form. I'd expect sweeping changes in the not-too-distant future, including the demolition/relocation of Pioneer Hall (built in the "new" Ft. Wilderness style, whatever that is) and the destruction of any remaining original rustic elements. Sad but the writing's been on the wall for a while now. Sigh.
And just like the destruction of the rivers of America - we will be told that we have too much nostalgia and don’t understand that Disney is a business and that nobody actually likes hoop Dee doo.I'd expect sweeping changes in the not-too-distant future, including the demolition/relocation of Pioneer Hall (built in the "new" Ft. Wilderness style, whatever that is) and the destruction of any remaining original rustic elements.
I find the aversion to OKW and to a lesser extent SSR deeply odd. OKW in particular FEELS like a Disney resort in a way the new towers absolutely don’t. With the Polynesian or this monstrosity or the like, the attraction escapes me - why even bother staying at a Disney hotel? It's certainly not impossible to fill a new Disney resort on Bay Lake - but pricing with GF/POLY/CR could be 'terribly incorrect' long term. With all that transferring out of SSR/OKW, those rooms are always available at lower rates.
Valid point about MK losing rooms - but I'm not as certain as you that the general public is going to look at this location as a replacement for lost Poly and GF rooms. Many may just stay at other DVC resorts more convenient to other parks.

The same reason location, location, location. The Monorail and Crescent Lake Resorts have distinct advantages that no other hotel can offer, mainly express access to 2 parks.I find the aversion to OKW and to a lesser extent SSR deeply odd.
