Rumor MK Space Mountain REVISED in 2026? (One track? side-by-side seating?)

I hear you and raise add in a F4 overlay theming to the chase against Silver Surfer. (I’m still in the delusion that Marvel could come to Disney)

I would prefer Space Mountain continue with it's current theme of a transport through space and not add a Marvel overlay or any other sort of superhero... Sure, Build an incredibles ride somewhere or a Superhero attraction where allowed by contract, but let Space Mountain be Space Mountain... they could go back to the original storyline of taking a shuttle from the Space Station you are currently on, back to earth...Bring back the futuristic vision of life on earth in the future...

Oh I agree it shouldn’t as Space Mountain, but an overlay similar to Ghost Galaxy or Hyperspace Mountain for “Marvel Nights” would be such a fun idea

I just hope whatever update SM gets it makes it feel special and better than other versions. I personally feel (and this is just my opinion) we have the worst version of BTM and Pirates, so to have a version that isn't the worst and is really unique and special would be amazing. I also just want a better queue and loading area.

The original Space Mountain deserves to be the best. I'd say if they take inspiration from Paris's original version they could do something great- a thrilling rollercoaster that is still able to tell a story. With how lighting effects have advanced, I'm sure they could make a pretty convincing starfield in there too.

Our original version has always been the best iteration of Space Mountain...The only one double tracked with full show scenes and an extensive and well done queue(I am referring to it's original opening state) I am hoping that they loop back to feeling more like the original...put the speedramp back in so that they can repopulate the show scenes and create an engaging story again.... They can do so much more now with special effect lighting, projections, and practical effects...
As long as they don't alter the exterior like they are doing in Tokyo...

In November of 2018... 70s chandelier and all...I think they were going for a retro futurism thing... It is nice and all but SM's styling was not retro futurism... And they really need to bite the bullet and return the speedramp so that they can add show scenes again... Bring the attraction back it it's former glory. I would LOVE to have a return of the original soundtrack abd song "Here's To The Future" They recorded multiple versions and a version with no sponsor mention..... Instead of "RCA.... Leads the way..." they sing "Let your dreams....Lead the way....."

6’5 here too. I am rather fond of my fingers as well. They come in handy from time to time. No arm raising on that attraction for sure
