I still have an unactivated UOR AP because I'm waiting to just pay the incremental cost when EU gets offered.
That covid charade where they first discontinued passes (still inexcusable) and then completely misled that they’d “sell out” in 2023 probably shell shocked a lot of people.

Just want it on record that there isn’t close to Enough demand to force your hand. Wait.

Oh that stinks…and when are you gonna activate them?

I’m kinda using this to make a point…which is I’d advise people not to buy them until as close as you can…incase of discounting.

Have fun with it…and maybe give them a call to see if they’ll retroactive the promo or give you something else? Doesn’t hurt to ask
They’ve only ran maybe one promo since 2008, so seeing how rare those happen, I was thinking get it now while I can make my (silly) park reservations and lightning lanes

No
My understanding for that was that it was a legal thing, as each state has it's own rules on that and a contract that was set up in Florida may not be binding for a NY state resident as a for example. I didnt get this as an official answer though so it may not be correct. Marie

I know they've used this an excuse for years but as mentioned above, Universal does this for all 50 states and as someone who deals with contract law, if you agree to be bound by jurisdiction in a contract then yes, Florida venue would apply. There is no reason they can't do this except they don't want to do it.

There are no days…really ever…where you can’t get into the parks. Wide open to Christmas and beyond.

The lightning lanes are a bit different

You don’t “need” them per se….but what I’m seeing is people are trained (not an accident) to buy them 7 days out and prebook them…to handle the crowds that aren’t there. I get that…it’s a condundrum because people can’t quite trust that and don’t want to regret it when they get there and slinky is posted at 75.

That’s the FOMO of fastpass+…10 years of a system that actually worked for no one…including Disney. But they monetize it now

I think it’s 100% about not about having to deal with the headaches of defaults

In the same boat. Got mine a few months back but won't activate until late this year. Given how few deals/discounts we have seen on APs for a good while now, there was no real reason to wait.

But there actually was
Two things:
1. People are scared of price increases and I get that…I’m just not into playing that game
2. Don’t loan anyone your money if you can keep it/use it. Interest rates are high 💸

Just tried. They said nothing can be done. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who inquired.
That stinks

You Weren’t the only one…I bet all the 100 people that bought one last week tried.

That’s the problem…prices are too high and they aren’t selling

They are the hunters and we are the prey

To me it wasn't very clear that if you buy them together as one single purchase whether you'd get the $150 for EACH AP purchased or $50 since it's a single totaled purchase.
This is a quote from the article:

  • Gift card value is based on the original Annual Pass purchased.
To me that says it’s one gift card per AP purchased.

My pass comes up for renewal right after Wine and Dine. I'm not sure if I'll renew or just buy tickets in January for Marathon weekend. If they have a good AP incentive in December/January, I may just wait and not renew. But if not, then the discussion in the home will have to begin.

It may be an error, but currently it has the $100 gift card listed as a perk of renewing an Incredi-pass. If that's the case, that makes the renewal way more enticing for those coming up soon.

The intent of this is not for renewals

They assume they got you

It’s for NEW people…because they need MORE people….cause they don’t have ENOUGH people

It’s been mentioned round here before…but just by me and like 5 other angry guys in my moms basement

I understand that, but when someone goes to renew their Incredipass currently, it lists the $100 Disney gift card as a perk of renewal.
