Ones that weren’t widely ridiculed for 10 years. Hated it so much you actually love it?
Also what are you talking about? Paint the Night has been praised since it debuted??

Takes about 24 hours for the vultures to smell it. Time for us to hop out and let them argue about a dark parade they watched through a video.I see we’ve reached a similar point to the Test Track forum.
Seeing Spectromagic's character cavalcade finale as a kid was such a magical experience. Seeing a group of Disney characters dancing and interacting with guests in-person was such a beautiful moment. Wish Starlight carried thst same feeling.![]()

Here, have the seven-float finale to "SpectroMagic" (1991-1999, 2001-2010) at Magic Kingdomwww.threads.com
But enjoy the super cute train (and it is cute).
Lights on the costumes seemed brighter but I couldn’t say for sure. Spotlights and fireworks worked on the Coco float (spotlights over Ernesto De La Cruz’s party I think?). All the Frozen ice fractal things worked, although there were only three performers vs yesterday’s four. Also the butterflies before the Encanto segment glitched a little but no wings fell off tonight! For anyone that was there tonight, did you notice any major differences/improvements from last night?
In a parade so lacking in characters, it's definitely an interesting choice to lock 2 precious bodies up in a fairy's sometimes-translucent backside.Oh, and Geppetto and Pinocchio in the cage of the Blue Fairy's rear end is weird.
My most vivid memory from my first trip to WDW as a kid in the early 2000s is Peter Pan running over and giving me a high five. Most of the trip is foggy but I remember that exact moment pretty clear. God, what a great parade that was.Seeing Spectromagic's character cavalcade finale as a kid was such a magical experience. That is a legit negative comment about paint the night. it’s grown on me a little. I also didn’t know it was from a Disney movie the first time I saw it, I thought they just picked a random owl city song. Haha.I find its music obnoxious and inappropriate for a castle park parade
They worked last night as well where I was.Spotlights and fireworks worked on the Coco float

Well, one also has to acknowledge the company has 35 more years of new characters crowding the list for the same space.. Think about how many Disney films have been released in the last 35 years vs the period of 1955-1990.. it's like 3x the number of films released in that period... on top of all the stuff before it.If Spectromagic was made nowadays, it would focus heavily on characters from the post-Renaissance era. Is Iger/Chapek allergic to older Disney Characters that ain't Snow White, Pinocchio, or anything from the Disney Princess lineup?
I wonder if thats currently being worked on? They haven't bothered raising the lighting towers down the route like they always use todo before MSEP & Spectro. In a parade so lacking in characters, it's definitely an interesting choice to lock 2 precious bodies up in a fairy's sometimes-translucent backside.
And I'm hoping that at least some of the route lighting improvements are yet to be switched on. The fixtures speced were... robust.
They are waiting on a specific mechanism and until it is in place, safety department will not sign off on the flying. They will fly. It will be a long while. Also for those wondering if Peter Pan and Wendy’s flying feature was cut from the parade, I was able to see the wires that the performers will hang from tonight.
Not that it will debut, but it likely wasn’t part of a scope cut.
DLR fans don't like getting hand-me downs.. that's why they complain about PTNWho knew the Disneylanders secretly loved it all along?
You either missed large portions of this thread after the debut last night, or you are intentionally ignoring them.Takes about 24 hours for the vultures to smell it. Time for us to hop out and let them argue about a dark parade they watched through a video.

Almost everyone was so excited and happy for a night parade to be back at MK. I even mentioned how it takes away the sting of the ROA now that another MK classic attraction has returned.
However…. There are some interesting choices made that are worthy of discussion. There was no wow moment for me (in person) - other than the princess float - but what made that work was all the performers and the choreography- something most of the parade indeed lacks.
It’s so tiring to discuss the parks only to have someone not add anything to the topic but call people “vultures” for discussing the topic.
Probably one of the many effects that broke last night then, interesting to know! That is a legit negative comment about paint the night. it’s grown on me a little. I also didn’t know it was from a Disney movie the first time I saw it, I thought they just picked a random owl city song. Haha.

A bummer it won't open with the parade. They are waiting on a specific mechanism and until it is in place, safety department will not sign off on the flying. They will fly. It will be a long while.
