I'm sorry but the Wish float was a miss. It didn't garner any reactions and didn’t resonate with most people like with the other films represented in this. It's like you just glance at it once and focus more on the Encanto float after it. I have a feeling it won't last that long and will be replaced eventually (it's just a small filler float anyways)

Moana as usual gets the most cheers.

If people weren't just thankful to have a nighttime parade back, I have a hard time believing this wouldn't be almost universally seen as a little underwhelming.

I'll probably enjoy it well enough in person, but PtN and other nighttime parades somehow manage to be absolutely incredible even in mere video form. Chalking it up to different audiences/vibes/whatever is just a cope. This parade simply isn't as good as it could/should be.

If anything, the vibes I get from this are the same ones I got from opening night of Enchantment/Harmonious.

Which version? When it was done in Tokyo and Paris there were some big changes.
The original Tokyo version of Fantillusion. The Tokyo version had longer sections and more performers.

When shipped to Paris, the parade was made shorter in length and removed a majority of performers between floats.

If that's the standard it would be interesting if they were to ever attempt passing it. 31 floats and show stops already make it seem like this will never happen again.

When I seen the Paris version of Fantillusion years ago online. I was confused with Mickey saying "Looking at all the Beautiful flowers" and Flora saying "Look at the beautiful flower garden" since the Paris version cut a majority of the flower garden section.

It wasn't until I discovered the Tokyo version that those lines actually made sense. They weren't kidding when they said they flower garden floats were beautiful. Plus each float had tons of Disney characters hidden inside the floats who popped out during the show section. It looked magnificent, you can tell the same team behind Spectromagic was involved.

I will proudly admit I took a twenty minute break today and me and a couple coworkers who are also Disney fans stood in the walk-in fridge and watched a livestream. Not ashamed to say this- I cried. What a parade. I cannot WAIT to eventually see this in person. Really amazed by the floats and I LOVE the soundtrack. I just wish they had more ground dancers.

Im pretty sure budget cuts happened but instead of the floats, they budget cut the ground performers/dancers. I just dont get the overhead props and the performers are just wearing all black. Why cant they make their clothes light up as well?
I agree. I think it's a solid parade float wise (and I like the music), though I do have further critical thoughts. But they REALLY botched the costumes for the street performers. Shockingly poor. For as much as I despise most of Paint the Night (and stand by that opinion 100%), i've always given praise to much of its costuming for the street performers. They're one of the few actually good things about it.

What happened with Starlight? I'd go as far to say it's actually terrible. People in jumpsuits holding up poles with cheap looking butterflies or geometric ice patterns. The others are dancers wearing blacked out ballroom clothes that have a few twinkling lights, and you can barely see them. And then more people wearing black jumpsuits but waving around some LED laden cloths. Even the old pre-LED parades had far better costumes than this nonsense.

Weren’t there some outfits shown in blue with stars on them in the behind the scene footage; that weren’t shown tonight? Or have I overlooked them and they are in the parade?
