MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

They really did an incredible job with this, what was shocking to me was no theme song just music. The whole thing is the perfect blend of spectro, msep, and a dash of dreamlights. Cali can keep their pop rave, this belongs here.

But sorry Disney I know it's what you want but this does not soften the blow of your destruction on the other side of the park. So think again.

I liked what I saw on the live stream I watch, but these photos show the floats off much better than a YouTube live stream. These are really beautiful. that Moana float is one of the most beautiful float they’ve ever designed.
Part of it too is how kinetic it is; Gramma Tala soaring above the waves is a gorgeous touch and a wow moment that not a lot of other floats have. Wish there were more moments like it (e.g. giant wings that flap on the Blue Fairy, Pepita roaring, the floating orbs in front of Elsa rising and falling, swaying cars on Whimsy).

I wonder if they partly did this, making it seem a little more old school in style, knowing Paint the Night, which is more modern, is playing at Disneyland now, so trying to have a balance/difference between the coasts vs something that maybe competed more directly with Paint the Night
I think they just thought this style matched MK better. PtN screams “DHS” to me.

I agree. I really feel like Paint the Night was a big evolution from the classic Disney night parade. Really bringing it into the 21st century.

This new parade is beautiful, and still looks new and fresh, but also feels like we’ve stepped back to the old iteration of night parades.

Not necessarily a bad thing, but I think I wanted to see MK attempt a major evolution from Spectro or MSEP, and this feels more lateral.

But thank goodness they have a night parade back, now fix FoF.

I like that they changed the spot the peter pan float is in, makes the end feel more grand, during the media event David Duffy said peter pan was going to be following right after the blue fairy but it looks like they moved it last minute to being after moana.

Folks on here mentioned we should expect a couple wow moments, I'm curious if we saw them all tonight or not
We should at least expect to see Pan and Wendy fly at some point; their choreo was clearly adapted for land as a B mode so I look forward to seeing them flying soon hopefully. I'm still a little baffled by the fish tank on the Blue Fairy float, I can only hope it's part of some effect I don't understand yet?

They basically appear when she says her line, and they have a moment, then they disappear.

The windows “disappear” similar to the Tron preshow to reveal Pinocchio and Geppetto

I feel like the best way to describe it is that Starlight is a pageant, Paint the Night is a party.
Agreed. I love Paint the Night too but it's a spectacle in its own category. This feels more like a kiss goodnight in a way as it's not too upbeat, but feels very dreamy and calm. Apart from a very different float count, this felt more like Dreamlights at TDL than Paint the Night
