MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

Okay, it was good. Criticisms being the parade floats were too big for just one character eg the Moana float could have been split in to a Moana/Little Mermaid or Moana/Lilo & Stitch and the Peter Pan being split between Peter & Alice in Wonderland and such. More ground dancers wouldn't have gone amiss. Could barely see Pinocchio and Geppetto behind the Blue Fairy. Could have done with a bit more colour, was all Starlight blues, silvers and golds so got a little repetitive. Was hoping for more SpectroMagic references. Other than that the music was good, nice selection of new and classic Disney. Very happy for Magic Kingdom to finally have a night parade again.

As a former MSEP performer, I must say that the ground performer costumes are horrible. What’s with the black body-morph suits??

Also, Coco and the finale look bare without ground units. Where is the flood of characters in front of the finale?

Don’t get me wrong, the parade is cute, but there are short comings.

I enjoy it. It’s cute. Music is catchy, but a bit low key. I wanted a bit more thump to it. Very suitable for Magic Kingdom overall though.

I do wish there was more filler. More dancers or characters between floats. Smaller floats like the classic spinner critters, or the Spectro balls, etc.

I think I still like Paint the Night more 😅 way more dancers, exciting choreography, infectious and upbeat music, crazy colourful lights very well integrated into each float, with amazing programming to the music.

The black suit works well for Moana but for the rest of the parade, the costumes dont have enough lights.

Oh, and it feels like the floats are too… big? In the sense that you need to be higher up to get a better view of characters and stuff. Everyone’s hidden behind railings, can barely see the costumes…

I liked it, it felt magical and it fit Magic Kingdom. I kind of like how this and Paint the Night have very different vibes. I was slightly disappointed with the lack of lyrics, but the characters actually speaking during the parade made up for it. I do want to know if the weather affected the parade.

Some MK Spotlights are on.

That was Wonderful!!!! Watched Ron from Main Street Main Street's Intro stated early I feel? Not the Order i was expecting. LOVE that Royal along with Peter and Wendy are Free to move on the Floats! What Peter and Wendy did Tonight is a Lot more than TDL did on Rainy Days!

The camera used to record/stream will dramatically change how something like this looks in a YouTube stream. I’ve already seen snippets in other places that look much more colorful than others.

It did feel like they still have some work to do on pacing, which is normal for something like this. They also likely wanted to be sure they got it in before rain hit.

Looking forward to seeing it in person on Sunday night.

For sure. It was a dress rehearsal after all, with potentially for bad weather.

The bones are there, but it is just… missing something.
