MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Which is your criteria and one that will not directly generate enthusiasm or get people to show up.

It may not , but I think they recognize the need for the beautiful landscape given its place in the park, with the addition of an attraction people want to ride, plus an easier transit for guests to get to the Villains expansion (which I’m not crazy about personally but most seem to be excited about)

In my opinion it was a ridiculous statement, while certainly entitled to his opinion, the concept art was neither hastily put together nor last minute. Thus the eye roll. Thanks for letting me know how you feel.
Sure. I just think statements (like you just shared) convey that better and in a more respectful manner. I think it makes for more productive conversations.

There was concept art of new Fantasyland showing some sort of water fall next to Beast’s castle.
It’s there….. “ta-dah!” - had to zoom in cause you aren’t allowed on the bridge without a $90 dinner reservation! Beast has got to keep the poor people out.

That is indeed a beautiful river area... made nearly impossible to see by high cement concrete walls.

The outside of BatB has so much incomprehensibly wrong decisions made. It could've been a lovely place to hang out. Instead, I avoid it because there's nothing nice to see (and the food and ambience is overhyped).

-Your friendly neighborhood shill who always defends Disney.

I’ve always predicted that’s a long term plan. All insiders deny it I believe so I’m probably wrong. It’s why I don’t gamble when in Vegas! Haha
And I’m sure everyone would just tell you that you could go to Disneyland to enjoy it if they did.

(I hope they never happens because I like Space Mountain way better than Tron.)

Because concept art has changed on past projects so why should we expect to be any different? And given how World Celebration/Communicore Hall turned out, I think it’s better for expectations to be low. I also just don’t believe even if they do have a small stream along the walkway that it’ll come anywhere close to what is there now, which includes the loss of the Liberty Belle.
If I had a dollar for all of the pundits here on the boards that believed, swore and tried to convince us that there would be as many or more AA’s on Tiana then there was on Splash, I’d be able to afford that fixer upper in Golden Oaks…

If this location has any area remotely close to Grizzly Peak then we’re in for a treat! Especially if they have music that is similar because it’s one of my favorite music loops. Trickling streams, waterfalls, geysers, I’m looking forward to it. It’s a simple land but it’s super peaceful!
It also has a different organizational pattern based on a very different design intent.

The Liberty Belle was not rotting - they just replaced the boiler (a very significant investment in steam powered vehicles) a few years ago. (Lest I be corrected…. It was 7 years…. which is recent for steam!)

How do you know? There has been some conflicting reports about how long they spent on this idea.
I apologize for my poor wording. I meant at my six flags, the river and the boats were in rough shape. It was a comparison that six flags model wouldn’t scale up

There was also a fountain in the concept art of World Celebration at Epcot.
This is two concept arts with the water being focused on. But I digress. I’m not going to go doom and gloom on this project until I see what is actually there. If it sucks, I’ll just say it sucks and hope villians lives up to it. I am benefited either way as cars will help the rest of the wait times in MK

Its funny how for simply not liking ROA and being ready for Cars so far I’ve been called a Disney shill, have people tell me I’m too young to understand, have people say I don’t consider theme parks an art, have people say I only care about rides like six flags, say that art is objective and my opinion is objectively wrong, and that’s just off the top of my head. Clearly I think everyone can be a bit more civil when people disagree with them. I know I’ve gone on to say that I dislike certain opinions and that I wish we could move on from them but this is getting ridiculous 🤷

So if I have offended you, I do apologize as I never meant to. I am simply passionate about the parks and love what’s been happening with them

Out of curiosity, what is it specifically that you love about Cars replacing Rivers?

Oh I see. I mean parts of TSI were rotting. The broken water features were sad to see especially. And of course Aunt Polly’s.

At least the AA chickens made it to the last day!

A surprising amount of stuff held on to the very end; I think every animatronic made it, unless the owl had movement I never saw. I saw a kid yelling at the chickens on my last day. Haha!

When you say broken water features do you mean stuff at the top center of the island? I always thought it looked like water was supposed to be running around the area but by the time I went there there was never anything there.

What I don’t understand about all these references to Grizzly Peak is one of the responses people keeping giving to people upset about RoA being replaced is that it’s af Disneyland so they should just go there and MK should have “its own identity”, but everyone seems to be hoping the area looks like an area…already at Disneyland?

There was also multiple concept art of World Celebration showing a fountain.

Sure so it's quite a few things actually!

1. I really like the Cars movies as a franchise. Well most of them anyway, I found it to a really enjoyable watch and I think its sad that they haven't done much with them in a while, this definitely has a chance to revitalize it a little bit atleast in the public mind.

2. I never liked the ROA all that much, atleast here in WDW. In Disneyland, it is an important part of its history. But WDW? Eh, its history but it was never as good as Disneyland's version. If something is always going to be a weaker version of the actually beloved thing, why use up like 14 acres of land in the most visited theme park in the world??

3. I've never liked TSI ever all that much. It's also suffering a similar problem with feeling like space that could be made much better. Now do I think there should be more play places in WDW? Absolutely, but I never really liked this one in particular for whatever reason. It didn't feel like a true play place to me or my family.

4. Having 3 big flashy rides in frontierland + finally an actual ride that young kids can do is great! It helps balance out the right side HEAVY park as rn we have Liberty Square with only 1 main headliner, Frontierland with 2, and Adventureland with 2. Meanwhile Tomorrowland atleast has 3 and Fantasyland has a TON. The park needs more balance and my suspicions were confirmed when I went to WDW and the whole left hand side of the park had walkons (except Tiana's) for the first hour or two while the other side of the park was terrible in waiting. While this was good for me, it meant that my day quickly slowed down once hitting the brick wall that is the right side of the park while the left side almost went "too fast"

5. This helps gives access to the Villians land section and seems to allow multiple entrances to reduce bottlenecking and create a decent flow of guests in this side of the park. There's 2 other MK attractions I would remove to also help this but thats neither here nor there

Four year olds can ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure… And the lower waits couldn’t possibly have anything to with high capacity and efficient operations?
