From Variety - Josh D'Amaro on TIANA'S BAYOU ADVENTURE. “We knew that our guests wanted to see more of Tiana. We knew that Splash Mountain was a popular attraction, and we thought that the merger of those two things coming together would create an unbelievable experience."

Rode TBA earlier today (7/17) and it's such in a sad state. I last rode it back in December and things have turned for the worse.

The waterwheel on the side no longer turns.

Guests have been undoing the ropes in the queue. Lots of damage throughout the queue also.

The first Tiana AA on the lift wasn't moving her mouth. Also throughout the ride either the mouth or arms weren't moving. Also noticed the movement on some AA's weren't as fluid anymore. They jitter here and there now.
Louis AA skin is falling apart at the seems. Another Louis AA after wasn't moving arms either.

Screen broken/off on the final lift.

The fog effects on the get shrunk drop and the final lift hill are off/broken. Because of this the special light projections aren't working.

Finale Louis AA not moving left arm with trumpet. Just in down position.

Still had fun, especially the drop on such a hot day. But the effects being neglected throughout is just disappointing.

I think that quote is their way of trying to imply people only liked Splash because it had a drop (the part they kept and so the part that was combined) and it had nothing to do with the other twelve minutes of ride.

It's the only way it's only slimy and blatantly lying instead of full on too stupid for words.

Regardless, surprised to see them acknowledge it was popular at all.

Absolute shame what they did here. Same with TGMR should have spent money on both these attractions to spruce them up and bring them back to their glory days. Added MMRR & if they really wanted Tianna them build her a princess themed dark ride.

Ngl, I wouldn't be surprised to see if TBA is going to have to go down within 5-10 years for a lengthy refurbishment to fix most of this ride
Well with rumors of Moana in Adventureland and a thorough Tomorrowland refresh, I wouldn't be surprised if they want Tiana up and running as long as they can before shutting it down again. I can't see it going down for a lengthy refurb until at the very least Big Thunder and Piston Peak are both opening, maybe even Villains too.

They'd be better off just closing off Frontierland entirely and dropping $50 off ticket admission for a year. lol

way before that, needs it now.... why they let this go already is inexcusable there's something wrong.
As much as it needs to be refurbished now (which yeah I agree), I don't think they will seeing as Piston Peak and Villains land is being constructed now and as Stupido said, they probably want to keep it open as long as possible until Piston Peak and/or Villains land opens up

At the very least Tiana's is not going down until Thunder Mountain reopens next year. They can probably coast on the hype of Thunder coming back to silently take Tiana's down for a month or so.

They regularly take it offline in the winter months. This year was likely an exception both due to Big Thunder and the relative newness of the attraction.

Arguably the saddest state an E ticket has been in the last how many years, and it's brand new. Not even hatred, just purely sad. It's not a ROTR cannons level, but a majority of the ride, the majority of the time. If they can't figure out the figures or even the screen of the climax, I don't know what your solution is. The Disney+ POV from Disneyland went through how many hands and eyes and got approved to publish to 150 million subscribers? I don't know. Sad and Embarrassing is all I can think of. Story/IP/etc aside. So sad.
