Disneyland 70th Anniversary Thread - Wishlist, Rumors, Speculation, Announcements

I know WDW in the past has cut down of FOF shows as Halloween approached due to the drivers needing to also do nightly rehearsals for the Halloween parade. I would hope it’s just a reduction in shows. Something I learned while here is how the parade corridor’s direction, and the choice to start the parade at the Puer makes for a really poor viewing experience for that second show, the parade heads due East for much of its path which then requires viewers to look directly into the late afternoon sun. I thankfully realized this and went to view the parade on the short stretch at the end when the parade turns south towards Guardians. But they really should think about reversing directions, also choosing to have the parade path go E-W instead of N-S was a poor design choice.

Since FOF came back thru last year, FOF went down 1 a Day for MNSSHP.

So I'm seeing that Pixar Pals Parade is off the schedule as of August 4th, but they announced less than 2 months ago that there is a special DVC viewing area for this on Saturdays through August 30th. Also Halloween Time doesn't start until the 22nd. Does anyone know if this is really pausing that early, or if they might just be dropping to once per day while prepping the next parade? The only info I've seen about it so far is on the site that can't be linked.

I'm just worried as we moved up our trip a bit to catch this and WJ in addition to the beginning of Halloween.

Given that its also off the dining reservation calendar as of August 4th for the dessert party, I have to assume they are pausing it.

Probably just the usual birthday cavalcade with the cake float, maybe a commemorative button or something. Otherwise the anniversary billing is the new Walt show, new Sherman Bros. film in the cinema, last verse debut on Small World, and merch/food drops.

Very interesting to hear Iger share that near 30 million guests walk through those gates every year… they don’t normally say specific numbers. He mentioned at the opening ceremony today, and in that GMA interview.

So does this mean the numbers we get from TEA/AECOM are that wildly off?!?

Anyone have a sense of these numbers Iger is saying? @wdwmagic @lentesta @DCBaker ?
