No
I think they just used the structure of the moon.

So do we know if they bought this float for this parade? I think it would be weird to have daytime float mixed in with all these custom nighttime floats. I know they would have had to retrofit it for nighttime use out I still think it would feel out of place. Based on the way the lights look on the concept art I thinks its a new float modeled after this one.

It is a new float

I wonder if making a new one was cheaper than shipping + modifying the dreaming up unit, the cast concept art shows the exact same float structure as the dreaming up one. It has the clock tower, buildings and the moon thing just like the dreaming up unit.

Not to throw negativity out there but am I alone in thinking the lighting placements are sloppy with wires and lights sticking out? Certainly not how it was done with prior light parades where the wires were hidden and light placements were in mostly rows or scattered neatly.

Its a night parade, you arent going to be able to see all those wires at night with the decorative bulbs on and flashing.

This is like complaining about how the track looks in Space Mountain when the lights are on.

As a former MSEP performer, I can confirm that wires and lights were indeed everywhere on electrical parade.

The frozen float makes me wonder if they'll try maybe projecting the faces and characters to that structure behind Elsa? It seems to be modeled after Ahtohallan and the sequence with the projected memories. Would explain why Sven is morphed into the back and not a actual figure

Add on: You have the water nokk morphed into it too

So I would guess that means... no Soft Opens till the 18th at the earliest?

Wasn't expecting MK to remove CM Blockouts.......
That block out was lifted a while back. Not super recent. I was there on the 6th. The last day the cast members were blocked out. I have an earlier post about this but they absolutely did not need to block out anyone on the 6th. The park was not busy at all. 5ish pm and Tron was at 45 minutes, space 30ish, Mansion, jungle Cruise, and pirates were all less than 25 minutes and one of them was only five.

I have tempered my expectations of starlight.....
MSEP had over 20 floats
Spectro had over 30
Starlight is coming in at..... 9. Maybe 10 or 11 If some of the floats are articulated and you count the articulated parts as separate but connected floats.

That doesn't mean it's going to be bad or short. Paint the night, which I enjoyed a lot, is also 9. But this wouldn't include the giant puppets of Genie, Tigger, and Lumiere; Lightning McQueen, And the spectromagic like globes that
Minnie, Donald and Goofy ride at the end. So what happens in between this limited assortment of floats can very much make a parade feel like much more than it actually is. I'm curious to see if they can pull it off again with Starlight like they did with paint the night.

And speaking of those spectroMagic like floats, does anyone know if those in paint the night are actually repurposed from spectromagic or are they just of extremely similar design? I never heard either way. Although Disney Wiki indicates they are from spectromagic it stopped short of documenting that.

It’s frustrating that so many people are saying SpectoMagic had 25+ floats (which includes all the small floats) but they refuse to include the small floats in Paint the Night. I’m not even the biggest Paint the Night fan but it’s not fair to give a clear advantage to one parade over another. We need to give Starlight the benefit of the doubt when all of the previous nighttime parades have had smaller floats in between.

They’re just similar. Spectro was completely destroyed.
