Trip Report 2 broke guys and the 40% off trip (deluxe!)

Yes, yes, I know we just got back. We went in the middle of December, then again for Christmas, then again in the middle of January, and now - our third month in a row…

And just 12 minutes ago, we got into the 1pm queue for Test Track (around 6:45-7:45pm.)

Currently heading back to the Contemporary, hoping for our room soon to rest up a bit before heading to “dinner #1.”

The very nice CM asked if we were celebrating anything, and I said not really, but technically tomorrow was our “paper anniversary.”

Currently heading back to the Contemporary, hoping for our room soon

We dragged it out a bit - I really didn’t want to bother that nice CM and ask again. We arrived at the Contemporary, and immediately did 12.5 minutes in the massage chairs. (I am so sore from the gym lol.) Since Geo 52 was just a snack, we split a roasted turkey sandwich at Contempo Cafe.

At that point, it was 2pm. No room ready text yet. I said we would go back to the front desk and just be visible for a moment, then ask if we need to.

Brian: “Are you going to yell?”



Me: “No, it’s not even 3pm yet!”

We went to the front desk area. Our CM was still there. I made eye contact and a little wave. Another CM approached to ask if I needed help, and I said I was going to talk to CM #1 in a moment. (Something told me to just wait.) I saw her glance at us again, and write on a map. She came over to us:

“I spoke with my supervisor, and since it’s kind of your anniversary, we’ve upgraded you [from the Garden wing] to the Main Tower with a view of the Magic Kingdom.”







Although I had secretly hoped that might happen, I kind of squealed and in a very high-pitched voice said, “omg, thank you so much!!” and gave her a hug.

So, here we are on the 9th floor.

And…wait for it…

view-valu, I never paid much attention. What are you going to see? All I’ve ever seen was a parking lot, or some trees, or an adjacent building. Meh.

Happy "kind-of" Anniversary!! Kevin and I chose October 1st as our "official" anniversary. Cuz we love the Didnee Whirled!

We unpacked, rested for about 10 minutes, and had to get ready for 40% off dinner #1 at Tiffins - not a quick trek, and we had a little rain shower.

Getting better, right? Pics maybe a month apart. Less flabby. Worth eating lotsa salads.

With the slight rain delay, we arrived closer to 4:25 for our 4:10 ADR at Tiffins, and we stayed dry making our way through AK.

Is this not gorgeous?

Looks very 60’s grooooovy to me - much like our hotel!

It was a hamachi (fish) crudo. Delish.

The mains:

Short rib for B, fish of the day (sea bass - apparently from here unless our server was kidding!) Both fantastic. We have loved Tiffins from day one.

We went to leave, but it was pouring. In a somewhat surprising moment, Brian said, “Let’s go to the bar!”



Twist my arm!

We walked through the hall to Nomad Lounge.

Chakalaka!!

What’s next? I don’t know! The park, and bar, are closed. We’ll know the weather in about 5 minutes.
