Test Track seatbelt question

I was just thinking - there is a lot of electrical equipment in the cars on Test Track. I know the seatbelts are locked during the ride. What would happen if a fire broke out in one of the cars while guests were onboard?

All buildings have early detection systems to detect smoke and fire. Alerts would be sounded immediately and CM's begin evacuations of guests. Immediate shut down and sprinklers activated. CM's are regularly run through emergency protocols and how to handle emergencies.

It can take a long time to evacuate a ride….. you probably don’t want to think about it too much.
Depends on the ride. But that’s what a periodic check of electrical equipment is for.

For Dinosaur and Test Track specifically, the seatbelt mechanism is normally unlocked, and requires energy to remain locked. During a fire alarm the fastest way to evacuate is to cycle the ride. However, if it really hits the fan the operator could E-Stop the ride which kills the track power and therefore unlocks the seatbelts.

If the vehicle is on fire, it will probably develop a critical fault and then that vehicle will E-Stop, causing the rest of the ride to fault out which will get the attention of somebody very quickly.
