"Thanks for bearing with us to the bear end" is Henry's closing line from Country Bear Musical Jamboree, which is why it's on the walls. Not that it’s good, but that’s why it’s there.
That's fine in the context of the CBMJB, a fitting closing line. It doesn't work as indication of construction.

Ahh, OK. I think at that point in the show I was too busy telling myself, "Wow, that was not nearly as bad as I was expecting...did I just enjoy this show?" to even notice that line.

I'm also wondering why no Cars puns instead...🤔 Keep hope alive!

Here’s an aerial look at the location of the Liberty Bell Riverboat from bioreconstruct:

Looking at Bio's photo dump on X, I'm thinking the people who say LB is in her final spot are correct. They could just drain the river, put her on block right there. and have plenty of access to all sides and no need to go back to maintenance. Sad day indeed.

The lands are the same though… space mountain, Autopia, Star tours, big counter service with a stage, circle vision.

That’s very different from Toy Story Land in Hong Kong.
Discoveryland is not the same as Tomorrowland even with a similar ride lineup. My point is the concept evolved from the earlier castle parks instead of doing a similar Tomorrowland -- why shouldn't any other parks evolve to be able include single-IP lands?

I'm perfectly fine with discussing whether the execution really works, but I think the mentality that you can never have a single-IP land in a Disney castle is silly and myopic.

What is the “vision,” the unifying principles, of the Magic Kingdom that is currently being built? What gives it coherence?
I believe the principle would be, "Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy." A single-IP land can certainly fit into that premise.

To be fair… this is isn’t for shareholders. It’s a risk - just like the Star Wars hotel was. There is no guarantee it will be a financial win.

Slapping cars paint on the speedway would be the cheap way out. (And preferable for me).
Except the difference is that unlike the Star Wars hotel, if it fails or ends up being done poorly, they can’t just close it. It’ll be a stain in the middle of MK.

Piston Peak needs a Piston Creek.

-
It needs more than that. :(
We have no idea what we are going to end up with in this Carsland in the MK.

There will probably be scope cuts along the way.

All we can do is wait the 3 to 5 years and see what happens.
Which is why I don’t expect any water to be there despite the “concept art”. Water features always end up cut.
Well, there is a barrel bridge visible in the newer concept art.
I doubt that “barrel bridge” will be anything like the one on TSI. Thats not sturdy enough for a large amount of people to cross at once.
I also would like to point out the elephant in the room here. Obviously the prime motivator for getting rid of ROA and TSI is money but is it also possible because of the declining image of America in popular opinion could be a factor in closing such Americana based concepts as ROA and TSI?
If they were actually concerned about that, why did they reopen HoP? That is the biggest reminder of the declining image of the US.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: how on earth is the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island being destroyed BEFORE the Tomorrowland Speedway?
This.
I have been opposed to entire IP-based EPCOT Pavilions since day one. Though I will now admit Inside Out might be the only way to revive Wonders Of Life.
My hope for WoL was always centered around Big Hero 6. They could have done a robotics lab (or put that at innoventions) and made Baymax the sponsor as the “personal health care companion.” Inside Out would go in Imagination, as long as they kept Figment too.
Here’s a look at the extent of the walls from today:

Couple photos of the water level:

These photos make me so sad. I can’t believe we’re losing all that water and the Liberty Belle for CARS. 😭 I was really hoping the river would last a bit longer. Not looking forward to 5 years of walls.

Cars is definitely fading. I don’t take pleasure in that since it was something near and dear to me that I grew up with. I’d argue most of the franchises Disney is currently promoting are either fading or never had longevity to begin with. Star Wars is a legacy brand, but they keep promoting the new stuff which isn’t what the fans care about. MCU had its time in the sun; the only Marvel brand that will outlast us all is Spider-Man. Frozen is still popular but not like it was in the 2010s.

That's what it seems like to me although of course I don't have any data on Cars. It just doesn't seem super common to see kids running around sporting a Lightning McQueen shirt these days - although if they're planning a fourth movie that could change. Maybe a throwback to some point midway through McQueen's career with a traditional Big Race and such.

I'm also kinda surprised that Descendants doesn't have much of a park presence, given how popular that is with kids.

Was in the airport for work this past week and saw numerous kids with Cars backpacks and luggage. Outside of Marvel and Star Wars, it’s the Disney IP boys flock to the most.

People tend to lump all the princesses together as a “Princess IP” but outside of Frozen, Cars merchandise is much more prevalent that any of them individually.

Maybe it’s just the area I’m in, I almost never see boys in Cars shirts (and I pay a lot of attention as mom to a neurospicy child - I don’t want to inadvertently dress him in clothes that are babyish or embarrassing.) At younger ages I saw Paw Patrol, PJ Mask, Bluey, Thomas, Super Heroes and the usual stuff like vehicles and dinosaurs. Around 4-7 it starts to shift to superheros, Minecraft, and “big kid” clothes like Under Armour. I don’t think anyone would give a kid grief for wearing a Bluey or McQueen shirt at those ages but I still steer clear of them.
