Just pointing out that Spectro Magic had 24 Floats. MSEP had 22. PTN has 7. This has 8.
I mean you’re also including the fish and Spectro men on the orbs in that number. If that’s the case then PTN has 13 floats and not 7. Not fair to compare it that way and I’m a huge Spectro Magic fan. Starlight will most likely also have smaller interactive floats between the units.

Are you counting the smaller snails, orbs, and spectromen balls in the count for Spectro and MSEP? It seems like you are.

It would be disingenuous to not count those for PTN and Starlight too, then. We don't know if Starlight will have any yet. Paint the Night has the 3 in the finale unit, plus Lightning McQueen and the Toy Story alien spaceship. So at least 13 "floats"

Edit: didn't see the post above mine til after I posted this 😄

I am SO EXCITED about this!!! I think it looks great and even though it's smaller than I'd like to see, I think it's going to be great! We are headed to Disney on August 1st to take the kids on a surprise back to school trip and we are so excited to be able to see this (hopefully multiple times).

I honestly think that due to the number of people in MK on each day now, and the logistics of running the park, that having something with 20-25 floats like MSEP or Spectro was never going to happen (setting aside the budget issues because I think that was the other thing). They simply can't and don't want guests stationary for the time it would take to produce a parade of that length.

Exactly this. Starlight may not be what we really wanted it to be, a Dreamlights version of Spectro or a copy of Dreamlights, but we could have gotten much worse like a cavalcade similar to Nightfall Glow or just no nighttime parade at all.
We have HEA.... In 9 Days, we're getting Starlight and a return of MK's Signature Nighttime Schedule......

Yeah...There's NOTHING to Complain about!!!!! :) :) :) :)

Well we hope but no insider has said there will be smaller floats, so probably best to assume there wont. Then again no insider said there was going to be a logo float, and we are getting one 🤷‍♂️.

Still 10 more than we’ve seen the last 9 years.

You're forgetting the reedy creek electrical christmas parade of 2021.

Same could be said that no insider has said that there’s no smaller floats. I just personally like being optimistic about projects like this. The team behind Starlight definitely has to have some surprises left up their sleeve. At the very least I expect walking characters.

If you add in genie, tigger, and lumiere that brings it to 16 floats in PTN.
