So, not sure how many of y’all may know about this, but ducks have become a big thing on cruises (including Disney cruises) over recent years.
Passengers hide them all over the ship, give them out to little kids, etc.
Carolyn carries ones like those pictured below in a large Ziplock bag in her purse/beach bag. They’re about the size of a dogs toy ball…!!! :)

I wanted to play too ;), but all I was gonna’ have were pockets to carry them around in… :cyclops:
So, Carolyn found the little resin ducks pictured below on the internet, which are about the size of a small marble.
I could easily put 10-15 of those at a time in a pocket…!!! :)
We bought 150 of them for $9.99, and I, purposely, came home with just one of each color…!!!;)
Being a parent, I did make sure to do one thing…put them well outta’ the reach of young children, as they could be a potential choking hazard.
These little ducks were a huge hit…!!!!!!! :joyfull:;):)

Those little ducks were the same ones we used for our "Duck Hunt" during Teacher Appreciation Week.

@Figgy thank you for viewing my post and giving it a thumbs up...yet why aren't you sleeping? Your thumbs up came when most of the east coast is asleep.
Thank you for your concern. Hubs is on overnights so my sleep schedule is a bit off of when most people sleep. That said even if he was on days I'd still be up at around 3 to get a jump on the day
Thank you for sharing your marvelous adventure!

Lest anyone think I have exclusively eaten Indonesian food, last night my wife took over her sister's kitchen to make me spaghetti...and this morning we went to a Batam Indonesia restaurant that has an American style breakfast.
Food looks delish! :hungry: It's great that during your trip, you have both authentic Indonesian food, along with some American dishes. In other words: Best of Both Worlds! :joyfull:

Calm Gulf waters, from our veranda, just before heading down to the Atlantic Restaurant on deck 6, pretty much directly below our staterooms (although our staterooms were located starboard and the restaurant located port ;)), for our 5:30p dinner…!!! :)

Saturday, June 28th, and Audrey’s 4th birthday cruise cont….!!! :)

After dinner, we walked around a little, but then headed up to our staterooms for the night.
We had been up since about 3a. Matthew (DS) napped a little in our ride on the way down to the Port of Galveston, and Emmy and Audrey napped a little in their ride. The rest of us had not a wink of sleep, since we got up that morning.

I did manage to find the strength ;) for a coupla’ sunset pics from our veranda (8:10p and 8:16p, respectively), before we crashed…!!! :)

Hope you're mistaken about the "new" view from that tower. Back when I visited, it was fairly rural around that area.
Don't take this as gospel, but there were a few years where their was not only a freeze that hurt the crop and that was followed but some sort of a bug infestation and from what I heard it kicked the juice out of that particular group of groves. They filed bankruptcy and sold the land off to some developer. I'm surprised it wasn't Disney since they were well known for buying orange groves.

Sunday, June 29th, and Audrey’s 4th birthday cruise cont….!!! :)

Our sit-down breakfasts were in the Pacific Restaurant, deck 6, aft. Just for grins, our deck 6 dining locations checked below…!!! :)

It’s always fun to get a table right by the big glass at the back…!!! :)

IMG_8353.jpegIMG_8361.jpeg

I had the steak (medium rare) and eggs, with fries and pork sausages…!!!!! :hungry:

IMG_8363.jpeg

After breakfast, we headed up to the Limelight Lounge on deck 7 for some trivia…!!! :)

There were 3 different rounds. The first was 20 Golden Girls questions, the second was 15 Broadway questions and the third was 30 Taylor Swift song sound bites to identify.
The pics below are from the Golden Girls trivia, which had a pretty good turnout…!!! :)
The Broadway trivia had a very slim turnout, but, as you can imagine, the Taylor Swift song sound bite trivia round was standing room only.
We got 14/20 for Golden Girls, I got 4/15 for Broadway ;) (everyone else went to the potty and/or to get snacks, so I saved seats for Swift), and I didn’t recognize a single Taylor Swift song, ‘cause I can’t remember ever even hearing one…!!!!! :hilarious: Megan and Sarah (mostly Sarah ;)) came pretty close to the top in the Swift round, but no trophy…!!! :(;)
Either way, it was all good fun (we do better at another trivia game later in the cruise ;)), and it was good family time…!!! :)

That's a sweet photo of Matt and the girls checking out the view!

Your food pix from the cruise have been great. One thing I noticed about your breakfast plate was the french fries. Don't think I've ever seen fries served with breakfast. (I've only seen hash browns, herb skillet potatoes, etc.) Don't ask me why I focused in on this silly point! ;)

@SteveBrickNJ , how many more days of vacation left, for you and your wife, in Indonesia? (I know you flew out on the 28th, but wasn't sure of the length of your vacation. Hopefully, you have at least a few more to enjoy!) :)
Thank you for thinking of us. As I answer you it is Thursday around 5:32pmIMG-20250709-WA0011.jpgTomorrow, Friday morning my wife and I along with our 4 relatives...we will take a ferry to Singapore. We will be in Singapore about 28 or 29 hours...my wife and I will be getting on a late night flight Saturday night. It will be a 19 plus hour flight that is non stop to Newark NJ. Because of the time zone difference, when we land in NJ it will be 6:30am on Sunday July 13th. ( This afternoon the three kids and I saw the 2025 new installment of Jurassic Park. We went to a cinema at their mall)Screenshot_20250710_175105_Chrome.jpg

Thanks, Minnie…!!! :)
It was really cute, as he was explaining to them that all that water was being churned up by big propellers on the bottom of the ship, right below us, to push the ship through the water…!!!!! :inlove::happy:
He wanted to show them person-to-propeller size comparison pics, but by that point we had no internet access, unless… :greedy::greedy::greedy:

On a side note…
I Googled the Carnival Jubilee on the car ride home, and found the below of interest…this is the system the Jubilee uses…!!! :)

This is the system the Titanic should have had, @JenniferS …sorry, couldn’t resist…!!!!! 😁:cautious::cool:;)
They could have gone full reverse and hard to port, and not had to contend with loss of hydrodynamic flow across the rudder, thus avoiding the iceberg altogether…poor Jack…!!!!! 😞😁:hilarious:;):)
