MK Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Busy Buggies and even Heimlich's are bus bar rides (though Heimlich's was so small that it might've been close). My understanding is "flat ride" generally involves vehicles attached to / moving around a central mechanism (spinners, Mad Tea Party, Alien Swirling Saucers, pendulum swing rides, carousels...) or an open floor space (Luigi's). It seems Disney is leaning into those in many locations, which could seriously damage immersion in otherwise-transportive lands.

If they stick to that I agree it could be tough to feel immersive (maybe if indoors?)

Hoping they think more broadly, but we shall see

"The space will be home to two major attractions, dining, and shopping on an incredibly twisted grand scale."
From Disney Parks Blog

It says nothing about minor attractions or shows. Now how you define a major attraction?
Is 7D a major attraction? Is mermaid? is Pooh Bear? Is Tiki Room?

They are using the same language as Galaxies Edge. So SDMT as the floor. The language implies inwardly they've been aiming to develop two e-tickets, things they know will monetize.

Remember: Disney thinks a meet and greet is a major attraction...I am sure they are all patting themselves on the back for shoehorning a meet and greet into Epcot's Festival Hall... And of course they did replace an actual running dark ride with a princess meet and greet.... So.... I am not expecting more than a coaster, and a meet and greet.... Which is probably what Auto Parts Mountain area will have instead of the second attraction...

So when Piston Peak and Villains Land are open, how many ILLs at MK?

I still imagine two and they crank up LLMP sales along with tier elimination. Maybe that’s trite of me and they a la carte even more than they do? OLC does a ton of a la carting but then also a free base fast pass.

I suspect Cars replaces SDMT and the coaster replaces Tron and the dark ride is actually reasonable capacity and therefore doesn’t warrant single pass.

I don’t know why people are so “E ticket dark ride or bust” here. The ride in the picture is very fun, me and the family always get a good laugh with it.

The park needs all types of rides and experiences.

That’s what the park is about, riding fun rides with your family. My kids ride Aladdin over and over and over last time we went. They absolutely love it. When the camel is spitting they can sit in that area forever and enjoy themselves.

I'm sure you've convinced yourself you are not lying, but you horribly contorting Jay Rasulo's disdain for the product into a lie.

The current leadership is not stupid. We may completely disagree with their decision making, but these words were used purposefully and not flippantly. Ticketing classification is still used internally by WDI when pitching attractions.

The company does lie and Josh may be caught fudging facts, but this would be quite a big lie.

Classic busbar dark rides? Maybe?
wow I wish if only, here's to hoping. But will believe it when I see it, they have shown no interest in doing these anymore, not that things can't change, but the path they have been on sure would say otherwise. Everything with them has to be the biggest and or most techy now. Fun to play around with ideas though for what a busbar style could be like.

be kinda cool if the Villains made one as an attempt to please the masses and lull them into a state they can be taken advantage of and it is clear they don't really know what they are doing, like it is purposely a little cheesy/not everything works as intended, etc.

I’m sorry but no. That sounds like a back story universal would write for a spinner. More specifically it gives off kang and Kodo’s twirl and hurl vibes.

Wondering if the Haunted Mansion lounge on the cruise ships increases or decreases the odds of a Haunted Mansion restaurant. On the one hand it's been done elsewhere, on the other they've already put in the time and money to create many of the needed set pieces.

My thought is that if Beak and Barrel is constantly slammed, they may consider adding a lounge as well as a quick service and table service (but that's based on nothing but my own musings).
