MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Thinking about how realistic or not this area will look from the outside, let's remember that Splash Mountain did not have an ultra realistic exterior.
It had a "cartoon mountain" exterior, and we were quite happy seeing it from Frontierland.
So, I have no issue if some peak of a mountain has a rock feature that resembles a piston.

Where does Disney have this definition listed, or is it just another fan-made definition claimed to be official? I'm sure the last time we had this discussion, the definition of a land also included a shop and restaurant until someone pointed out that there isn't an announced restaurant for Piston Peak. Compared to the Villains Land announcement mentioning 2 attractions, multiple restaurants and shops
Did Adventureland spend 20 years switching between being a land and not being a land based on when El Pirata Y El Perico was actually open?

As far as I'm aware, Adventureland has always been known as Adventureland and can't seem to find anything where the Caribbean Plaza section of Adventureland was listed as its own land in Magic Kingdom?
I'm just reiterating that the Piston Peak area of Frontierland is not going to be called Cars Land.

What does this have to do with my question? You stated a land has to have a restaurant. Adventureland spent a good chunk of 20 years effectively not having any restaurants.

I wasn't stating that, I was pointing out that was the last made-up definition and that there hasn't been a definition from Disney as to what makes up a land. The only way we know what is considered a land by Disney is when they tell us and when the maps have a section labelled as a land

Probably correct... but now you're talking degrees.

Cars are still loud - goto RSR and you see the same and they only go a fraction of the speed.

Tires+Ground+wind noise.. it's every neighbors nightmare.
I thought WDI stated in the blog post that they worked to address the noise complaint people raised, stating that guests will hear the cars around the entrance to the attraction and the other sides they're using trees and landscapes to help buffer noises.

I'm willing to bet my bottom Disney dollar it'll be what amounts to a clone of Grizzly River with Cars slapped on and a different ride system (though the Cars track should be roughly the same size as the flume GR rafts float down). Similar theming, style, size of attraction, etc. I've heard this from a "source" but I don't and will never claim to be an insider. I just have a friend of a friend of a friend who works for corporate so take that with 47 billion metric tons of salt. Also heard to not get excited about any of the water elements, ha. It does track with what we know regarding rough estimates of size and scope.
Are you saying it will be the same track layout as GRR? Or just the scenery will be inspired by GRR?

Unless this had a water raft ride, I don’t see how this area could be like Grizzly River Run.

Maybe we could start using "subland'!

Storybook Circus Subland of Fantasyland.

Cars' Piston Peaks Subland of Frontierland.
Main Street U.S.A: contains town square Main Street and central plaza. Adventureland: contains jungle Arabian bazaar and Caribbean plaza. Frontierland: piston peak. Town of tumbleweed. New Orleans. Fantasyland: enchanted forest. Castle courtyard/medieval fair. Storybook circus. Dinoland U.S.A: the Dino institute. The boneyard and Dino-Rama.(now extinct) galaxies edge: first order courtyard. Resistance forest. Black spire outpost marketplace.

I do think that a lot of people are most upset that this couldn't have been an addition rather than a replacement.

I personally think it's going to be the same caliber as TT 3.0. Not great and not terrible.
Exactly how I feel. I wouldn't feel conflicted if these were true additions, not replacements. Really anything Disney has done in the last decade I'd be more or less fine with if they were additions, not replacements.

I'm worried the attraction itself will be just underwhelming. Plus, attractions that have you in and out in like 3 minutes of ride time always bothered me when they replace something that was 10-12 minutes long. I get that most thrill rides that the industry has standardized doesn't share this same sentiment as, say, a Disney fan whose fandom is rooted in nostalgia and true leisurely experiences.

While I LOVE Test Track 1.0 and even 3.0 looks alright, I'd much rather enjoy a 12-minute World of Motion than a 4 minute thrill ride. I get I'm an outlier.

Should have clarified, the scenery will be heavily inspired by GR and the overall scope and size are very comparable. They will obviously have different layouts. Didn't hear much else other than the supposed water elements will be laughable due to budget/maintenance. Again, I'm not an insider and will never claim to be one. But looking at everything it makes a degree of sense they would use GR as an inspiration. Still a net negative in every feasible way for the park and I still hate nuDis.

See above. Look at pictures of the queue and theming surrounding GR but throw in a dash of Mater and voila.
