MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Well I would think 2 things:

1. The grass patch is not real and temporary, Cars and Villians are proven successful IP and MK needs the capacity boost.

2. Barely anyone bothered to show up for TSI closing, I've seen bigger crowds for both Dinoland/Triceratops Spin closing and ITTBAB. I think its last day truly shows how the public reacted to TSI. It went out with an eh.

I think point 2 could definitely be down to the fact that the "I need to see Good Disney before it closes" have already had their wallet drained over the last few months. Like, anyone who was travelling to see things before they closed has already been really recently because we've had a sort-of-unprecedented double whammy of iconic attraction space closures.

With that said, the map paint-in really highlights a partial reason for this massive project - it really highlights how Mansion and Big Thunder are just dead-ends at the end of a path with no connectivity. To that end, the project will be an improvement - the rest of it, well, we're firmly in "wait and see" mode now, but I'm still very unsure that the lost natural and visual harmony is a worthy sacrifice.

We had our last ride on the Liberty Belle and visit to TSI in June...TSI was very sad... None of the streams and waterways were running, the old mill was static, the wind mill was closed... The fort however looked amazing with everything working... Oddly the cave, mine, and escape tunnel all had cool white light bulbs in the fixtures that looked terrible... Sad to see it all in disrepair as a last look... I hope people remember it as fondly as I do...as a kid running up the hill and exploring every inch of it... It was one of my very favorite things... We will never have that kind of space again...

Its a temporary dam. I think they have figured how to remove a riverboat every time they drain ROA. Except this is the last time doing it.
Right but it wouldn't make sense to put it up a week before the closure knowing they gotta remove the riverboat, I believe they docked it right before the locks and are going to take it apart piece by piece using the crane thats onsite for BTM construction.

Ok, good on them getting everything already up, etc , but this doorway does look a little funny on its own

@Squishy , "The Liberty Belle, which previously offered scenic tours around the Rivers of America, has been moved backstage to the marina and is no longer visible from guest areas."

Rest in Peace Tom Sawyer’s Island and Rivers of America. Can’t say I’ll miss Tom Sawyer’s very much and the improvements made to the Piston Peak concept looks like they will retain some of the beauty of the rivers.

In the long run, granted they keep some of the beauty of the rivers with the new piston peak area this in my opinion is for the better. Time will tell, but I am hopeful.

EDIT: Hope they move the Liberty Belle someplace and preserve it.

Did ya? Because that's not a boat that ever was at WDW. Its hard to take the waxing poetic seriously when you don't even know the name of the boat.

@wdwmagic Do you know if it moved to the dock behind BTM or across seven seas & bay lake already to the dock by central shops?

In past smaller refurbishments they would store it temporarily here:
