Remy is just a simulator masquerading as a dark ride. Runaway Railway and Rise of the Resistance briefly turn into simulators at one point as well.
I've always thought of it as the "next gen dark ride" with a little bit of everything from physical props, smells, screens, simulated movements. It is missing a few animatronics though to really give it a 10/10, but it is still a favorite of mine and massive win for EPCOT when it was built / now.
Based on intensity, you’ve got ToT and RnRc as high thrill attractions. SDD is a family coaster. I guess some people would call it intense? Rise isn’t intense, just an exciting dark ride. Meanwhile, Alien, TSM, Runaway Railway, Smuggler’s Run, Star Tours, and a plethora of shows also fill the park. That doesn’t seem heavy on the thrill rides to me. HS just doesn’t have enough rides, so the icons of the park make you think that’s all there is.
# of quality attractions and decent wait times has never been an issue with HS. Door Coaster and a new 3D show + entire land ...as well as a new attraction at Animation Courtyard...and HS is a massive success again.

Most of those rides are “bumpy” even if not excessively thrilling. I think the point is that DHS could use calm sedate rides in the vein of HM or IASW where you aren’t jostled around.

They better be planning to clone it and bring it over to the states.

AK needs it badly.

That's the irony. They announced a bunch of stuff for WDW but none of it was particularly what those parks needed. Meanwhile, actually doing a pure addition of TLK to Africa or Moana to Adventureland would have really been awesome. Instead, everything has to involve removing something already there.

Well something had to replace the God awful Dino-Rama.

Dinosaur was always on borrowed time unfortunately never reaching its full potential.

If Animal Kingdom doesn’t get the Lion King flume ride from Paris, OMG.
It would certainly be a nice fit for the park, and a flume where you don't necessarily get drenched like the rapids ride would be amazing... Though it looks very based on Tiana... so they might not want to do it because it is the same ride system.... basically.... and everyone always creams when they want to reuse a ride system....lol

Do we know anything about the Lion King Flume ride yet? It could be like the rapids ride at DCA... Just a rapids ride without show scenes... Have they released any full concept art for it yet??
It certainly appears like a physical copy of splash. I’m guessing the released concept art was created for a splash makeover concept that was proposed along with Tiana.

So correct. In Magic Kingdom you have Dumbo, Aladdin Carpet, and Astro Oritor--all the same system in the same Park. So there is supposed to be an issue with the same ride system in 2 different parks, this is laughable. If the attraction is well done, NO ONE will complain!

All those flat spinners?! Ugh.

Who wants to go on the carousel or tea cups with me?

When was the last time you actually rode one? They are lots of fun!

I rode the carousel and dumbo on my last trip to Disneyland as well as the Zephyr over at DCA.
I ride the carousel. Make the adults with me do it, too, to embarrass them... which how much fun they're having.

Orbiter at MK has crazy lateral sheer. The arms are too short and too fast for a relaxing ride. That was one and done.

Yep.

Honestly arguments like this concerning two similar systems can be very exhausting because it’s like do you want more rides or not ?

Why are there all these artificial fan made rules and regulations to get an attraction built at the parks ?

Really? It shouldn't be done because it would be similar to a ride system in another park? That is indeed laughable. Original EPCOT was almost entirely omnimovers, movies and boat rides.
