Even if it doesn’t change the opening date?
Yes.
Even if it doesn’t change the opening date?
I don’t see it. Please simply give a date for the show’s opening. My timeline up a few posts.
TACO. But yes, they will have an effect, especially on Villains. You could probably also find my posts explaining that Monsters and AK would probably not be effected. You still thinking Tariffs are going to kill all of these projects sir?
Not sure what your point is. Obviously I was wrong about the show being retired so soon. But it wasn’t because of the views of the barges.
It 100% was.Not sure what your point is. Obviously I was wrong about the show being retired so soon. But it wasn’t because of the views of the barges.
Grand Avenue becoming a hazardous place by Q4 is what I said above but I don't know how long that process typically takes?I don’t see it. Please simply give a date for the show’s opening.

I'll be clear with my expectations and what I would consider a win for my POV:
1) The area has to be a hazardous zone in the near future. Let's say before Q4. (I admit I don't know how long it will take for them do the pre-stuff - that's clearly happening now FWIW - why don't you put some predictions out there? You think it will sit dormant for how long??!)
2) MV3D theater opens BEFORE Monster Door coaster is finished.
I'll eat crow if neither happen.
If I'm right, I'm coming for @peter11435, @lazyboy97o and the rest of the you here.
You’re intentionally being difficult and missing the point. In the very post you quoted I clearly said that work will start now because it can. Not because it has to. No reason to wait when it’s already closed. And like I also said in the same post they’re not going to just leave the area alone for a year and make it obvious it didn’t need to close yet.So when they knock down Stage 1, what is the "why"? They can wait 18 months can't they?
Yet they made sure the next show had mobile barges. Why not use the same barges? Not sure what your point is. Obviously I was wrong about the show being retired so soon. But it wasn’t because of the views of the barges.
You don’t know how long the process takes but you have intimate knowledge of every other aspect of the project.Grand Avenue becoming a hazardous place by Q4 is what I said above but I don't know how long that process typically takes?
I mean if it's 2026 and it looks the same, I'll feel quite foolish on my point.
See below:
You're intentonally not addressing my "why". If they don't need to do anything NOW, why is Disney doing any work in Muppets Courtyard? You’re intentionally being difficult and missing the point. You understand that cosmetic changes to existing buildings and a new show will take significantly less time than building an entire new structure and major attraction right?
Of course, they don't want people comparing the top-tier Imagineering of the 80s and 90s to the stuff the WDI Marketing Firm puts out today.Disney doesn't want to honor any of the attractions it's getting rid of, at least not in a way guests can access. I think that's clear at this point.
Find anything where I said anything close to that. In fact I have specifically mentioned it being scheduled a certain way.You know you thought the area was going to sit dormant for 6 months. Don’t lie.
I mean that’s cop out, we know Disney takes a long time to do stuff.
They closed the land. Let’s see if there is reason why.
I will gladly eat crow if nothing happens back there. You guys won’t though, you’ll just move the goalpost.
“They didn’t need to” is the goalpost moving already.
I'll be clear with my expectations and what I would consider a win for my POV:

Given that you didn’t know the difference between the different permits and why they’re filed, I’m guessing you don’t have a lot of commercial design and construction knowledge and experience. Yet you’re naivety declaring what things mean and are evidence of when you wouldn’t know. Anything and everything is proof that you’re right because you are still completely missing the point. You posted about a noise being heard as evidence.I think it's naive to speak how we think Disney is operating with this timeline. We can make guesses, but what if the area just isn't safe when they start knocking things down?
Most of us thought RnR was going to close first (me included) before MV3D.
You’ve never spread a task over more time to make it easier? You’ve never asked someone to assist you with a task not because you couldn’t do it by yourself but because it would be accomplished faster? Then why is Disney doing ANYTHING in that space then? Why don't they just wait Peter?
Because you want to make sure you actually get it. You don’t want to leave things that could be stolen as happened over at Epcot in the Wonders of Life Pavilion. You don’t want some other team to claim it as theirs. You don’t want to risk the demolition team coming in and chucking it in the trash. You don’t want to risk the air conditioning not being properly maintained and interior pieces being damaged. You don’t want to risk required maintenance not being done and something deteriorating. Even something made to outside and full of water like the fountain is going to really gross very quickly if the water isn’t kept going and still being treated.Doesn't answer "Why".
Let's presume that the Monsters Door Coaster opens in 2028.
Why don't they just start removing props and assets in 18 months then?
It 100% was not. They didn’t abandoned infrastructure they spent millions on because it blocked peoples views. There were other significant reasons that pushed them to replace the show.It 100% was.
I hope that story comes out one day.
No I don't claim to have any of that. You don’t know how long the process takes but you have intimate knowledge of every other aspect of the project.
Your quoted section doesn’t answer the question at all. You steadfastly won’t answer the question, which is a pretty good indication you know you’ve climbed out on a limb and pride won’t let you back off.
I’ve literally addressed your question multiple times. You're intentonally not addressing my "why". If they don't need to do anything NOW, why is Disney doing any work in Muppets Courtyard?
I think your argument might be "they are doing it so we don't get mad at them closing MV3D for operational costs".
Disney is starting on the land just for kicks? How crazy does that sound?
So why didn't they re-use the barges? It 100% was not. They didn’t abandoned infrastructure they spent millions on because it blocked peoples views. There were other significant reasons that pushed them to replace the show.
The replacement for Muppets will open in quarter ———— of —————.No I don't claim to have any of that.
You all claim that Disney closed MV3D to save to save from paying Sweetums and his friends, but I see a whole land shutdown because they are going to work on it.
To put it simply, they feel that Disney is destroying their childhood. At the end of the day, why does it matter if some fans are happy or excited that construction or progress is happening? There’s nothing wrong with that!
You trivialize the financial impact of the closure by saying they are saving paying “sweetums and his friends.” In reality they are saving millions of dollars. No I don't claim to have any of that.
You all claim that Disney closed MV3D to save to save from paying Sweetums and his friends, but I see a whole land shutdown because they are going to work on it.
Because they can. Because a smaller crew can get the same work done. Because the almost certain unknowns that are involved with renovations will have less of an impact on the schedule. Because delays can be absorbed without paying extra crew and overtime. Because they’ll have more flexibility in mobilizing different crews. You're intentonally not addressing my "why". If they don't need to do anything NOW, why is Disney doing any work in Muppets Courtyard?
