I've always liked HoP, and still go when I'm there by myself, but I won't take my kids there. Why? Because every time I've been in the last decade and a half, there has been some buffoon booing, or heckling when the current president (whoever that is and from whatever party) speaks or even stands up. People can't just leave well enough alone in a theme park. And sadly, I think, that means HoP has to go.

Same. If I had to pick one of the two to stay and the other to be scrapped, I’d pick Muppet Vision to stay. Yeah, Walt wanted a Hall of Presidents, but Walt also wanted a city where no one could vote. Just cause he wanted it doesn’t mean it should stay forever imo

I’m surprised Disney didn’t just keep this “under refurbishment” for the next 4 years and spent that time trying to figure out a modern bipartisan solution, because as classically bipartisan as the show aims to be it just isn’t to people anymore

To add to this: Disney is trying to avoid mentioning this attraction at all, they recently sent media an email talking about upcoming announcements like refurbs for Spaceship Earth, Ariel, Buzz, but didn’t mention HoP would reopen at all. We only showed up this morning cause we got a tip. Disney doesn’t want anyone paying attention to the existence of HoP, understandably

Awesome. Kudos to Disney for making the right decision. Now I hope they keep the attraction indefinitely but if they plan to remove it, announce they will do so well in advance of Nov 2028 so no side can accuse them of doing it because a particular person won.

Because the park already has several other attractions closed for extended refurbishment or replacement

HoP was likely deemed one too many for now.

More people had to have seen muppets daily than HoP. And that they don't even want to acknowledge it exists means it needs to be replaced. Put Walt in. How many people go in daily not even knowing what it is? Let's take 30 minutes of our day out of the MK to watch one of those boring movies that are in a museum.
