Trip Report 2 Weeks, 3 Resorts, 12 People - A (Hopefully) Live Trip Report!

Hello everyone! You may remember me from my spontaneous spring break trip back in March. Well, I'm back again! And this time for much longer... two weeks!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm PUSH! I'm a teacher from Wisconsin. I just completed my 8th year teaching first grade, and I'm ready for a vacation. This school year was by far the toughest of my career, for many different reasons, so I'm ready to be back in the Disney bubble. I've been so busy with the end of the school year, that I didn't even think about starting a TR until today... and we fly out tomorrow morning!

As I type this, I still am unsure what this TR will look like. That really makes you want to keep reading, doesn't it?? 😂 I'm planning on posting live from my trip... I just don't know how much. If I post a lot and go pretty in-depth, I won't post a ton when I get back. However, if I don't post much while I'm down there, I'll do more when I get back. Regardless, I'll post in some capacity. We'll just go with the flow (which is NOT how I treat a Disney trip... I'm such a planner).

Here's a few details to start off... The first week is just my dad and me. We fly out of Madison tomorrow morning, and we should land at MCO early to mid afternoon. The second week, we'll be joined by a whole slew of people, who you can see listed below. The past few years, my dad and I have gone down ahead. We're the biggest Disney nerds, and we like the extended trips, whereas others get tired of it after about a week.

We are staying at 3 resorts, with 10 park days, 1 water park day, and 1 After Hours event. All the other details will come as we go. :)

📅 When: June 7-June 21st
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Who: Me, my parents, my brother, my SIL, my aunt & uncle, my cousin & her husband & their kid (1.5 years old), and my other cousin & her boyfriend
🌏 Where: 2 nights at Pop Century, 5 nights at Coronado Springs in the Gran Destino Tower, 7 nights at Riverside
❓ Why: Why not? 🤷‍♂️

Sit back, keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the thread, and enjoy whatever this trip report becomes!

Echoing what others have said and not trying to make your head so big, it won't fit in your cheese hat. Your Photos are OUTSTANDING!!! You just have a photographer's eye to take the right angle or lighting every time. It is truly a gift. The rest of us get lucky every now and then.
This morning we did early entry for MK with the whole crew. We rope dropped Mine Train, while my cousin and her husband took their daughter to the barber shop for her first haircut.

This morning we did early entry at Hollywood Studios. We rope dropped Rise, then used LLs for Tower of Terror. 4 people didn't want to go, so 4 of us got to go a second time.

Next, we watched the new Villains show. It was okay, nothing special. They could have done much more with villains. Hopefully they do with Villains land. I'd give the show a 3/5. Not a must do, but average quality.

Then we stopped for a popcorn break, followed by LLs for Toy Story Mania and Slinky Dog Dash. I really like Slinky. I'd never wait more than 30 minutes for it, but it's a fun ride.

After that, our two families went their own way. Our family watched the Little Mermaid show. I'd say 4/5 for that one. Then we left the park and ate at the Coronado quick service, as that's where the other family was going. Didn't think we'd end up there again this trip! My dad and I split the nachos.

Now we're back at Riverside. We are heading to MK in a few hours.

Thank you for your detailed TR.

I apologise in advance if this is an inappropriate question (or if there is a medical explanation), but did you really go the whole trip without eating any vegetables or salad? If so, was this your choice, or does Disney not offer much by the way of veg in it's casual dining/quick service options?

My family aren't big vegetable lovers. I also feel like Disney doesn't do a great job of offering them as sides with more "plain" food. We aren't adventurous eaters, and the veggies normally come with more "adventurous" entrees. I definitely eat more at home.

Tonight we got to MK around 5:15ish. We started by using our LL for Space, then rode the Peoplemover. We used our LLs for Pirates, Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan. We stopped by PhilharMagic before heading to get a spot for fireworks.

I have to say... I'm liking the MK fireworks less and less each time I watch them. And not because they're bad... they're great! It's because the atmosphere is miserable. Wall to wall people. You have to stand for at least 30 minutes to get abdecent view. Then as soon as the fireworks start, you have kids go up in front of you, phones blocking your view, and camera lights on behind you. People talk through the whole thing. Then a mess of people after. It's not worth the fight anymore.

We tried to go ride some other things after, but it was so packed everywhere we went. We decided to head out. We took the resort monorail back to the TTC, which saved us probably an hour of time in line.

Tomorrow we're back to Epcot in the morning.

Some of the worst behavior I have seen in adults is just before the fireworks at the hub. The last time I was there, I was attempting to get to Main Street for the projections (I travel solo the majority of my time in WDW, so it's generally an easy thing to do). I was coming from Tomorrowland and was physically pushed by other people half way across the bridge because those ahead of me weren't moving fast enough for the ones behind me. I finally gave up and went out the back exit and came back in the front.

Getting carried along by the crowd at certain times, in different places at
WDW,always brings back traveling around Times Square , maddening, frustrating and a little scary,You are just part of a huge wave of people going in no direction at all

We did early entry at Epcot this morning. We rope dropped Guardians. It was our third time in a row that we got Disco Inferno. Then we used our LLs for Frozen. I've actually enjoyed that more this trip... the AAs are really good, but I wish they'd have real faces.

We back tracked to Gran Fiesta Tour, then back to Soarin and Living with the Land for our LLs. We ate at Sunshine Seasons where I had the pepperoni pizza roll again.

Next, we rode Spaceship Earth with our LLs, then hit up Club Cool. We then began our walk around the World Showcase. We stopped in Mexico for margaritas, then did some exploring here and there around the countries. Some people stopped for other drinks along the way. I also ended up getting the Moosehead Lager in Canada. 4/5. I liked it!

We rode Figment on our way out.

We headed back to our resort, and it started storming. We took naps, then headed off property to Flipper's Pizza. We love Flipper's. I got just bacon on mine. 5/5, very delicious!

We're heading back to Epcot in a bit for fireworks.

There's not much to report from tonight. We went back to Epcot for Luminous. The gnats were bad. There was no breeze, so the smoke just lingered. However, I like that show more and more each time I watch it. I think it's climbed past Happily Ever After for me. Partially because of the reasons I listed last night. And like I said last week, the finale is amazing. The song, the fireworks. I love the grand finale, with all the white fireworks lighting up the sky. And the post show music. It's really well done.

I didn't take many pictures tonight. I was just experiencing Epcot for the last time this trip. A night at Epcot always hits me in the feels. It's so nostalgic. And my last time at Epcot each trip is always a little sad.
