I'm beginning to think the 'circular rocks' will be pushed as far to the north as possible, and the bulk of the attraction will be off to the east. The tops of those rocks will be pretty cool to see taunting you as you walk from the Harbor bridge along the esplanade. So close and yet so far!

I also think this arrangement @BrianLo has devised will make the tops of the rocks an enticing weenie for those leaving Avengers Campus.

i wouldnt be surprised if they got rid of the monorail honestly.
That would be horrible in my opinion. If anything they should replace the trains, and I would even expand the route to go around the outside of DCA itself rather than just in front of it and include the new DLForward plots in the future. I know it'll never happen, at least not the expanded route. But one can dream.

Yeah, they either need to embrace the monorail or remove it. I'm all for keeping it, but then let's make it more practical. Put a stop somewhere in DCA. Have it travel to one or both of the parking areas. Right now, I can take it to the far end of Downtown Disney, next to the dead ESPN zone and the dead Rainforest Cafe.

It's especially needed for 8-10 PM. Trying to leave DCA as attractions close down early or go to reduced capacity due to a shortage of LL sales only to then get stuck at Disneyland's main gate because they aren't allowing entry due to the congestion caused by parade/fireworks. And then if you do get in, you're routed towards TL. The last time I left DCA at 9 so I could get to Rise before they close that attraction 2 hours early. I didn't make it. It shouldn't take an hour to get to the other side of the resort.

If they had a DCA stop it still would have spit me out in TL, but at least I would have bypassed the closed entry and impacted Main Street corridor.

Let's just hope it's not one of these situations:

Do we have any doubt that it will be? If they build their tentpole new land in view of the giant parking structure to look this way, who thinks they will go above and beyond this for a walkway from the less expensive parking lot?
The DLForward zoning changes had included requirements that any outward facing building to Harbor and Walnut (can’t recall if other streets are mentioned) would be themed and have a facade. Anaheim ensured this provision was there so they don’t get a backside of incomplete RSR situation.

Rockwork, camouflage painting, use of terraced planters?
rockwork to hide that would have cot 10s of millions of dollars lol and thats just not gonna happen. No park does that.

Camo paint wouldnt really work i dont think....you cant paint and hide that massive building

terraced planters maybe but they build Galaxies edge to the literal edge of the DL property line, theres not much room to build out from the walls.

I just dont see how you could make it much better realistically.

I'd look to solutions they found for Matterhorn, Expedition Everest, Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, etc.

I’m not too fussed about the show building. It’s single level and will be significantly less tall than RSR and Rise. Throw some trees up in there and it’s fine.

Here is the meeting minutes from last year where they discuss what is being called "360-Degree Architectural Treatment" -

"Since the Project would allow potential theme park uses closer to public streets and residential
areas, the amended Specific Plan would require new criteria called 360-Degree Architectural
Treatment for new theme park uses visible from the public right-of-way or abutting residential
zones, which would include enhanced architectural treatments at varying heights while utilizing
new and existing wall and landscape buffers."

Basically stating that any building that is public facing will need to be obstructed in some way so it blends into the background, ie facades and other treatments so you don't just see the back side exposed beams or a building from the street.

Hmmm, is that a bad sign for those of wanting a drop? I imagine the drops would be small enough to where that won’t matter? On another note why would I be more disappointed if Coco had no drop than if Avatar has no drop? I think it’s because with Avatar I’m expecting a more dynamic ride system making the drop less important. They re also smaller and more controlled with the Shanghai system correct? Assuming they go with that.
