Just saw this news story about water pistols being used as a method to fight overtourism in several European cities recently.
This got me to pondering, could WDW eventually implement this method during busy holidays, weekends, etc to add some crowd relief?
Example: Park visitors experiencing crowd shock at MK during the infamous week after Christmas can purchase water pistols at select shops to assist them in navigating the congested park streets (?)
This wouldn't cause any physical harm to the heavy crowds; simply give them a quick, wet reminder to GET OUT of the way and allow us to enjoy the park with sanity and leisure.
If someone is uncomfortable using a water pistol to chase away crowds, maybe offer a tour group type of method, where a designated CM or security can be hired (at another additional fee, of course), to lead the charge, blasting away as your small group can get to your next attraction or restaurant with ease.
This could work to make the experience during peak seasons and congested areas more enjoyable. Your thoughts?
And happy squirting.
