Trip Report 2 Weeks, 3 Resorts, 12 People - A (Hopefully) Live Trip Report!

Hello everyone! You may remember me from my spontaneous spring break trip back in March. Well, I'm back again! And this time for much longer... two weeks!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm PUSH! I'm a teacher from Wisconsin. I just completed my 8th year teaching first grade, and I'm ready for a vacation. This school year was by far the toughest of my career, for many different reasons, so I'm ready to be back in the Disney bubble. I've been so busy with the end of the school year, that I didn't even think about starting a TR until today... and we fly out tomorrow morning!

As I type this, I still am unsure what this TR will look like. That really makes you want to keep reading, doesn't it?? 😂 I'm planning on posting live from my trip... I just don't know how much. If I post a lot and go pretty in-depth, I won't post a ton when I get back. However, if I don't post much while I'm down there, I'll do more when I get back. Regardless, I'll post in some capacity. We'll just go with the flow (which is NOT how I treat a Disney trip... I'm such a planner).

Here's a few details to start off... The first week is just my dad and me. We fly out of Madison tomorrow morning, and we should land at MCO early to mid afternoon. The second week, we'll be joined by a whole slew of people, who you can see listed below. The past few years, my dad and I have gone down ahead. We're the biggest Disney nerds, and we like the extended trips, whereas others get tired of it after about a week.

We are staying at 3 resorts, with 10 park days, 1 water park day, and 1 After Hours event. All the other details will come as we go. :)

📅 When: June 7-June 21st
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Who: Me, my parents, my brother, my SIL, my aunt & uncle, my cousin & her husband & their kid (1.5 years old), and my other cousin & her boyfriend
🌏 Where: 2 nights at Pop Century, 5 nights at Coronado Springs in the Gran Destino Tower, 7 nights at Riverside
❓ Why: Why not? 🤷‍♂️

Sit back, keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the thread, and enjoy whatever this trip report becomes!

This morning we did early entry for MK with the whole crew. We rope dropped Mine Train, while my cousin and her husband took their daughter to the barber shop for her first haircut.

We then rode Small World and Haunted Mansion. Next, we rode Pirates with our LL, then saw the Country Bears. We stopped for ice cream. Some got dole whips, but I got a root beer float from Sunshine Tree Terrace, since I'm not a huge pineapple fan.

Next we used our LL for Haunted again, then got lunch at Cosmic Ray's. I got the grilled chicken sandwich. 2/5. Not that great, but edible.

Next we hit up Space for our LL, then rode the Peoplemover. We then used our LL for Tiana before heading out.

After taking an hour long nap, we headed to Epcot. I started by finding a Spaceship Earth cup that I immediately went to and bought. Then we rode SSE and got supper at Connections. My dad amd I get shared our entrees, so I had the crispy chicken sandwich and pepperoni pizza. Both are 4/5.

We then rode Soarin and Living with the Land. We ended with the Moana walk through, but got kicked out due to lightning. We were going to stay for the light shows on SSE, but thought it might not run with lightning, so we left and plan on doing that another night.

Tomorrow's plan is AK in the morning, DHS in the evening.

I also have less pictures with so many people here, and I'm the group "tour guide". So I apologize if I don't have as many as before!

It's not the quantity that matters -- it's the consistent quality of your photos, that you share with us!! 🥰

(Plus, being a tour guide for that large group, must pull you in 50 directions -- at times, kinda like herding cats?! ;) )

This morning we did early entry at AK. We waited maybe 5 minutes for Flight of Passage, then walked on Na'vi. We used a LL for Everest, then walked on Dinosaur. Then we got some donuts from Joeffrey's for breakfast. I got an apple juice, too. Then we were going to use our LL for the Safari, but it was backed up due to technical difficulties. So we booked it over to the Lion King show in order to make it in time. We just sat down before they began.

Once the show was done, we went back to the Safari and used our LL. Still had a bit of a wait. Then we used LL for Kali, and my backside got very wet. My dad and brother got drenched.

We came back to Riverside for lunch. I had a kid chicken strips and an apple blossom with ice cream for dessert.

After an hour and 45 minute nap (Disney naps hit different) and a refreshing shower, we were off to Hollywood Studios. We started with our Rock n Roll LL, followed by Mickey & Minnie, Tower of Terror, and Smuggler's Run LLs. Then we headed back to the resort.

There was apparently a bad accident on I4 this morning. A truck filled with fertilizer collided with a Ford Focus, causing the truck to tip over in the median and start on fire. I4 has been closed most of the day and just reopened at 7:30pm. They rerouted all I4 traffic through Disney, and a CM at Riverside told us CMs left 3 hours ago from their shift and still haven't gotten home. Luckily, we avoided all of that. But the traffic has been at a standstill on property all day.

When we got back, we ordered a pepperoni pizza from Riverside. It was solid. Probably not better than Pizza Hut or Dominos, but it did the job. I'd rate it 3/5.

I was going to get a shake, but the line was long and moving slow, so we'll get it another night.

Tomorrow's plan is a slower, more chill day at Epcot in the morning. Then DS in the afternoon/evening.

This morning we did early entry at Epcot. We rope dropped Guardians, then rode Frozen. We back tracked to Mexico to ride the Gran Fiesta Tour, then we did a leisurely stroll around World Showcase. We stopped in Germany for some unconventional breakfast items... treats from Karamel Kuche. I got the caramel butter bar! Delicious! 5/5.

We did some shopping in Germany, where I got an ornament. Our next stop was Italy, where we got gelato. We love their gelato.

The next country over was America, and we refilled our popcorn bucket (oh yeah, we got a popcorn bucket yesterday and have already made great use of it).

Then we wandered around other pavilions, doing sight seeing and window shopping. Japan is such an awesomely detailed pavilion.

Once we got to Canada, my brother and I each got a beer. Only to see on the can that it was brewed in the US. Kinda defeats the purpose.

We then headed out of the park, but not until a bird dropped a load on my shoulder and arm. So when we got back to the resort, bathe rest of my family went for lunch, while I cleaned up and took a shower. 😑

I met them at the food court. I wasn't too hungry, so I just got a cookies and cream shake (super healthy day for me, huh?). The shake was really good. 5/5, but not as good as the one I got at Beaches and Cream. That was probably a 6/5.

Our plans for the rest of the day... Disney Springs in a little bit. Then my dad and I will head back to Epcot to do a couple things we haven't gotten to yet.

We spent about an hour in the room after lunch. Today's nap was only about 15 minutes.

Then we headed off to Disney Springs. I went to look at the Vineyard Vines sales, but didn't find anything I loved that was a reasonable price. Then I met up with the rest at World of Disney. Again, not much I was interested in. I think part of it was I was just here in March, and another piece is I just don't think they have much interesting merch right now. They need to up their game. I miss the days where each shop had unique items. Now it's all the same.

We looked in the Christmas shop, but didn't find any ornaments we loved. Then we got some treats at the Candy Co. I got a rice krispie with white chocolate and sprinkles, as well as cookies and crema fudge. Can you tell I love cookies and cream? 😋 And no, I didn’t eat them all at once. In fact, I haven't eaten any of it yet!

Then we headed back to the resort. Ee actually stopped at French Quarter first. Some of my family got supper. I just split beignets with my brother and SIL. Then my dad and I dropped my mom, brother, and SIL off while we went back to Epcot.

I also forgot to mention, it was just us 5 today. The rest of the crew were doing their own thing.

My dad and I started off by heading back to Germany. We got a pretzel with cheese dip, and pretzel bread pudding. Pretzel - 3/5. Cheese dip - 2/5... it was cold, and I feel like it was supposed to be warmed up, but they ran out and we had to wait for them to bring more. Pretzel bread pudding- 5/5.

We then made our way back to France to finally catch Impressions de France. I know the film is severely outdated, but I still enjoy it. The musical score is incredible, and if you know me, I'm all about the music. That's what does it for me. It's why I love Epcot so much.

We then headed back to ward the front of the park. We rode Nemo with some extra time we had before the light shows on Spaceship Earth. A downfall to coming in June is you kind of have to choose between the light shows and the fireworks. There's not enough daylight to do both without running up to the fireworks after, or missing the beginning.

The light shows are always breathtaking. Especially the Epcot Anthem and the retro Epcot one. We also got You're Welcome, which is solid.

Now we're back at our resort. I would love to get one more Luminous viewing in, but we'll see if that happens.

Tomorrow's plans... the whole crew again at Hollywood Studios in the morning, and MK in the evening.
