Also, this isn't a permit, but some Disney vloggers mentioned that the OC Register wrote that Disney 'has submitted early plans' for the Coco ride. This interesting part is the "plans call for work on the public right of way along Disneyland Drive and Katella Avenue on sidewalks, curbs, gutters, trees, planters, landscaping, irrigation and fencing."

That's this area.

I'll keep an eye out for the eventual permit.

Hmm, might this be start on work to update the interior in preparation for a new show?

I think they are just updated the restrooms? At least per the permit. The Hyperion restrooms aren't really connected to the Hyperion in any meaningful way, so I doubt this is indicative of a larger Hyperion project. But who knows.
They are the bathrooms inside the building are they not? If yes why would they be updating them if they aren't planning on using them anytime soon, ie for CM use as I don't believe there were guest bathrooms available. So to take that a step further, if they are planning on the bathrooms to be used by CMs wouldn't that indicate a larger use for the theater like a new show?

As otherwise why update the bathrooms in a vacant building not being used?

Oh I assumed they were the public restrooms to the left of the Hyperion, since those are still technically part of the building.

The way the permit is labeled indicates its an interior bathroom. But I guess it could be the outer bathrooms to the side of the building that you're thinking.
