Do we have any idea on the scope of what we are getting? Any AAs? My biggest fear is a quick overlay because in 10 years this plus Annimation Courtyard will be connected and converted to a new theme and land altogether
Has anything WDI have done in recent history made sense? So in that corner we will have a muppets coaster and villains show? Does any of this make sense?
Doubtful.Any AAs?
Well, if Epic gets their Zelda land…I demand flying chickens.
"Hey WDI, are you almost ready with that Muppet attraction?"
"Yes, it's a glorious 25 minute standalone show!"
"You've got a minute and a half preshow!"
"*Gasp*"
Most I could see are the repurposed Statler and Waldorf figures with new audio either before the launch or at the end of the ride. Otherwise, probably just the Electric Mayhem on screen in the pre show and visual gags/graffiti in the queue.Doubtful.

It’d be nice to reuse Bean & the Chef too. They wouldn’t be able to do any new audio for Bean but it’d be fun to have him somewhere in the queue. Most I could see are the repurposed Statler and Waldorf figures with new audio either before the launch or at the end of the ride. But make sure the Chef keeps his gun. Just make up some reason for him to be shooting at us.It’d be nice to reuse Bean & the Chef too. They wouldn’t be able to do any new audio for Bean but it’d be fun to have him somewhere in the queue.
I’m fairly certain that one case was about advertising an actress whose entire role was cut.I’m not advocating for parks to be held liable for concept art, no. I was merely pointing out, in response to a specific claim regarding the matter, that recently a studio had settled a case for including a scene in the trailer that was not in the film.
A lot of things are and should be legally allowed in PR spin but that doesn’t mean some practices shouldn’t be frowned upon. I’d argue the recently released Cars “fun map,” while the format was almost certainly chosen to overemphasize certain elements, is significantly less objectionable then releasing “realistic” concept art focused entirely on a single scene - the only AA and physical set based scene in the attraction - and then entirely cutting that scene. While that practice isn’t and shouldn’t be grounds for a lawsuit, it certainly should profoundly effect how we judge a company’s honesty in the future.
You’re saying we should judge Walt as incredibly dishonest. He promoted in park, on national television and on merchandise things that were not ready and would ultimately be cancelled.
Y'know, if they DO put a new Muppets show that's not MuppetVision 3D in the Sunset Showcase theater... could it at least have Fozzie in it? He's one of my favorite Muppets and I don't expect him to appear in the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster retheme, I think he should have at least SOME presence at Disney World...
And it’s something he started right away.I had never really connected the announcement practice back to Walt, but it really is his doing. It’s what makes me (and likely many of us) a Disney fan, I eat up those pre-release bread crumbs.

If you visited in 1955 you’d see this sign and construction wall announcing the opening of International Street in 1956!

And if you returned in 1956, you saw this!

So you come back in 1957, and now Liberty Street is coming next year.

It’s 1958 and next year they actually open a Tomorrowland expansion.

They seem to very good at putting up construction trailers?Has anything WDI have done in recent history made sense?
