There is currently no show planned for the Muppet Vision space.
Ugh. What a downer. Should have left MV. Since there is zero thematic cohesion at wdw at this point, and since none of the leaders seem to care anymore, should have left the show alone and added the coaster anyway. DHS is a mess and only getting worse. How hard is it to have a master creative plan and design and build to that plan instead of shoehorning unrelated IPs into already established spaces while sacrificing beloved attractions.

Actually technically speaking imo this is actually a step in the right direction of giving DHS it's actual theme now that it has changed. The new theme is definitely "living the movies" as its the only park with single IP lands. (Yes Pandora exists in AK but I would argue that that was meant to invoke it being a "location" rather than the IP land to fit in with the rest of the parks location/environment based lands. To perfect this change, I would retheme the RNRC area fully around the Muppets plus switching out Star Tours, Indiana Jones, and the whole AC. Then the park actually is pretty thematically consistent. Atleast imo

" a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene – plus dining and shopping and a whole new theater show. "

I thought some other insider (name is on the top of my tongue, Len? Someone else?) said that after villains the idea of MVV3D or an Electric Mayhem show is being kicked around.

Yes, it was thrown around that area was to be a “Muppets Studios” as seen from the films and actual studio location.

Yeah it was Len testa who said that.
No. Whatever it is, I hope MuppetVision fans and others can join together in enjoying it. Like some bohemian rhapsody. So bring out your old Kodachrome cameras and we’ll all jungle boogie down to see it.

So did walls go up today? What’s the scene on the ground?
No walls yet, but temporary planters are blocking the entrance. I'm guessing walls will go up after the cast event on the 10th

Got to say my farewells to the show one final time last night. It truly was a comedic treasure and had maybe the wittiest writing of any theme park attraction of all time. I don't know if we'll ever see anything quite like it again, the dynamic nature of animatronics and effects surrounding all sides of the screen and theatre are unmatched. I'm quite happy that there are people in both WDI and the Henson Company who made a deliberate point to preserve/archive the experience as best as possible, even though it's still unclear if/how that might become something public facing.

This is blatantly untrue. Muppet*Vision's theatre is being repurposed for a new show themed to Monsters Inc., in addition to the land and coaster. The show has not been scrapped and is in active development.

Not even enough for an announcement yet we know the coaster's style and main gimmick.

A Monster's inc show could go into the space. But none are produced yet.

Well with Disney of this decade...

We know that happens a lot.

I know that sounds cynical, but legit. Coming when land opens? Coming ever?
But you weren’t just being cynical and implying that a show wouldn’t end up happening.

You definitively claimed that there was no show planned. That’s a lie.

Then you said that one wasn’t announced. Also a lie.

Outside the EPCOT/Covid stuff, Disney has a pretty good track record of building things it says it will.

Mainstreet Theater?
Live entertainment program in Galaxy's Edge?
Fantasyland Forest?

Disney announcements are often just that, clearly.

A show space available does not mean one is coming. Eventually, the promises(just announcements) mean less.
It is still all pretty blue sky.
The point was none are being produced or even written just yet.

the irony of saying the track record is good when Muppets Courtyard never came to what was originally planned for it.

A show probably will happen to flesh out the land and not feel just like a ride, shop and Restaurant, but not definite, and nothing officially going on other than words.
