In the new gateway art I couldn't help but notice how weird Tomorrowland looks. for starts Astro Orbiter doesn't even appear to be in the art, at least not as is, instead a tall white monolith looking structure. In addition the older peoplemover/astroorbiter station is gone. Along with Nemo's lake/subs. We also see a much bluer color scheme which reminds me of Fantastc Four. If they are already updating everything else on the eastern side from Hollywoodland, (plus now pandora), entrances, security, overall greenery, and more. I feel nows the time for new TL. Thoughts

You can see some of the Nemo lagoon, most of it is just obscured by the Launch Bay building. Either way I wouldn't look too much into concept art clearly intended to showcase an entirely different project.
I agree. Only started this thread as I do feel its now or never for TL. DL has nothing big in the works rn following Bayou Country, Toontown, and New Orleans Square updates. Plus find it hard to imagine DL will get nothing before the 2028 games. I more found it weird that for such a detailed non-blue sky piece of art they had so many different things for TL yet kept the buildings the same

Unfortunately, the meh screening reactions for F4 are making it look like Stitch has a better chance of rejuvenating Tomorrowland than F4. Darn it.
This combined with its large budget it will be lucky to break even at this point. F4 isn't the savior of anything I'm afraid.

I wouldn’t worry about anything. It a concept art showing rendering of the new pathways for the esplanade.
However I do suspect in the far future, we could get a new Space Mountian and new line up of attractions for Tomorrowland.

If fantastic 4 doing well means it leads to a Tomorrowland update then I will be rooting for it to fail. Just like with the Lightyear rumor to update space mountain. I don't want a retro Tomorrowland. I was them to think big bold and new.

They should update buzz like they are doing to the MK version. But other than that I would keep buzz, Star Tours, and space Mt. There is still so much to work with while leaving these three rides. And then they need to change the look of the buildings and the landscaping.

Then add new rides where Nemo, Autopia, and launch bay are sitting. Add stitch, add walle, and add an updated people mover. This would be my ideal Tomorrowland.

I'm sure as we speak the interns are asking AI to come up with ideas for Tomorrowland.

And F4 ain't gonna be the winning concept. Especially if they blow up that universe by the end of the movie so they can join the multiverse. (Speculation, not spoiler.)

You really can't take anything from these screening reactions at face value. Trust me, this is an industry I have studied for years and have worked in a few times semi-professionally (and a moving to go full professional in). What we hear creep out about test screenings is usually only a very cherry picked version of the story.

Let us not forget The Flash supposedly had overwhelmingly positive test screenings. And we all saw how that turned out.

That's not to say F4 will be an acclaimed instant classic, it's just to say that these test screenings really tell us nothing. We hear so little of what actually gets said, and we also rarely actually see the version of the film that is shown in these screenings too.

It's on track to currently be one of Marvel's strongest summer openings ever. It's first day of pre-sales yesterday was very strong. I would not count the film out yet.

Sure, there's a chance it's legs will collapse if people outright hate it but it's approaching a a huge domestic opening weekend of $125-136 million. If international numbers come out comparable, I don't think it's really in any major danger.

Budget hasn’t been reported yet that I’m aware, not even the reddit keyboard jockeys have a budget listed that I can find, so how do you know it’s “large”?

That section of the art reeks of generative AI.

I doubt they are actually enclosing tommorowland in concrete. Even space mountain is submerged in concrete.

The AI is blending tommorowland with the surrounding parking area by using concrete blocks everywhere and Disney doesn't care enough to check the image. Very lazy.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I find it unlikely we'll be getting anything huge from Marvel that's not at DCA - I feel like they'll just grow the campus out if they need to.
