@D Hulk the caveman in the Skyglider is absolutely the objectively correct answer to the Best Themed Infrastructure question and I feel dumb for not thinking of it. 10/10, no notes.
For an attraction that exceeded my expectations I'm going to have to go with Knott's Berry Tales: Return to the Fair. I pretty much couldn't stand Voyage to the Iron Reef and thought it was an absolute mess of a shooting dark ride, so while I thought bringing back Berry Tales was cool in theory I wasn't really excited about the prospect of it being a shooting dark ride due to Iron Reef being such a turkey. The attraction ended up becoming one of my favorite rides of its type especially with rerides. I think it's got a great mix of practical effects with screens (certainly WAAAY better than Iron Reef in that regard), splatting the pies is just super satisfying from a gameplay perspective, and you've gotta love that sweet, sweet Boysenberry scent.
For the coaster, it's gotta be Velocicoaster hands down. It's so above and beyond anything else I've ever ridden that it almost doesn't feel fair to compare them. Tatsu has the intensity, Mako has the air time, Cannibal has the crazy inversions. Velocicoaster takes all the stand out elements of my previous top three and just runs with it. The fact that people are saying Stardust Racers has even more airtime is crazy, and I'm trying hard not to get my expectations set too high for that thing. I'd be more into RMCs if it weren't for the restraints, which as a tall bulky guy are easily some of the worst and least accommodating in the industry. They give fantastic rides, but they're hard to marathon.
