the send off has certainly begun! Comfortably full theaters (meaning “full” with some empty seats here and there) and lots of applause and audience engagement.
Yes, I noticed this last week and earlier this week.
People are making it a point to come and see this before it closes.

It’s going to be crazy busy on the final day of operation.

I am friendly with a ‘friend’ of Sweetums.
He is a joy to see in action, and nobody souses those penguins with water better then him!

Sweetums will be missed.
Not only by us fans, but also by those who helped bring him to the show.

I really wish that Sweetums had meet & greets. I have seen a few things online where people asked a cast member, and Sweetums came out to greet the family in the pre-show area. I would love to give him a hug. I don't think I'm alone in this! It's a missed opportunity on Disney's part for sure. Please tell your "friend" of Sweetums "thanks" for making us smile! :)

Just another part of what little soul of the park has left is being removed. Yes, I know it wasn't an opening day attraction, but it became part of the soul of the park. But soul, charm, originality, and character have no place in Bob Iger's amusement parks. They must be Lightning Lane-focused, profit-generation machines above all else, giving people the movie IP Bob and Josh think they want instead of original concepts that they didn't know they wanted until they experienced it.

Do we think there will be any giveaways on the final day? I could swing over on the morning of the 7th but otherwise was going to say goodbye on the 6ty

Will do!

Sweetums used to be a part of the pre-parade unit back when The Muppets were part of Disney’s ‘VoluntEARS’ program.
Mid 2000s or so.
He would walk the parade route with a few performers dressed as painters, along with a small float featuring Kermit and Piggy as themselves.
A few of the Main Street vehicles were also included, and the entire pre-parade would roll the route a few minutes before the afternoon parade.

Once had the honor of riding in the Main Street fire truck during this Muppet themed pre-parade period.
Definately a memorable moment.
Had a nice personal interaction with all three characters ‘backstage’ after the days run as well.
Good times, and Sweetums was awesome as always.
Kermit and Piggy were pretty fabulous too.

Now that I’m here…. Muppets makes me much more sad than the riverboat. The MK is already the worst castle park I’ve visited (still love parts of it) and there are at least a few steamboats scattered around the country- including Disneyland.

But muppet vision is one of a kind and everyone loves it and there is simply no reason for it to leave!
