Good grief, give us some more time to get a goodbye trip in.

I was planning one for September, but can't organize one on such short notice. Which would have to be around hellish hot and crowded 4th of July to begin with.
I really don't get why they aren't waiting until summer is over, but Disney themselves believes summer is their "off season" now, so maybe that's why. Still, I think closing in September/October would've been better

I think once they get into the party season that is their busier time so I think if didn't start now then likely to wait until January

So wish they gave a bit more notice though

July has become the quietest time to visit the parks nowadays. AP promotions for dining in July, virtually always available for park reservations, etc.

I’m just glad they aren’t putting googly eyes on the Liberty Belle. I would have rather seen her scrapped (which likely will happen) than be transformed into a stationary IP joke.

Ugh...we have our usual biannual trip in August and were really hoping for one last visit to the island and ride on the riverboat. Labor Day would have been nice. :(

It will be a shame to lose the manor on the water, but I am intrigued by the idea of a manor tucked away into the woods, just peaking out amongst the trees. As sad as I am to lose Rivers of America and the Liberty Belle, I’m ngl I love this new art. I love that there will still be a river along the original Frontierland path. I love that the new ride features geysers that will be thematically connected to BTM. I love that they will be minimizing the visibility and noise of the cars. This is a far cry from the notion that they will be paving over paradise and replacing it with a parking lot.
I feel the same, I'm actually excited about this. I hope HM gets a new creepy forest queue or something. Anything is better than the cramped tent queue we have now.

We knew the project would not go away so the only positive I see is more water included so the FL shops and attractions current orientation would still make sense.

However, while the art looks good based on recent additions it is hard to trust it will live up to the art.

Losing the river and LB is really sad.

Having the train go into shuttle mode for like 4-7 years is pathetic.

Overall I just see this as a loss for the park but with the potential to still be a huge loss.

Maybe the reactions to the loss of the river underlined to them the importance of having peaceful areas with trees and water. If this concept art isn’t totally deceptive, it seems they’re designing the area with that factor in mind—in which case I’m much more optimistic than I was…

Re: Haunted Mansion sightlines, maybe there will be a buffer of trees?
It’s not really about the reactions. The plans always included water and water features in this area.

Yes, despite deriving my name from a stationary paddle wheel boat, I'm only interested in a MK boat if it sails along a river. I don't need the LB for a m&g space or upsell parade viewing location.

Let's not use concept art to judge this. I'm just going to assume it'll be trees and water for the most part. They have stressed hiding the ride from the outside. But we'll see.
There is tree buffer in the original art, so that’s likely still there. Also, it’s quite obvious that none of this is to scale or accurate. It’s just a cartoonish concept for general effect.

Glad to hear that they are actually planning to do most of what I surmised from the D23 art. Hope the execution is great. Also, they really need to eventually merge Pecos with one of its adjacent regions if that’s the route they’re going. Southwest > Louisiana > Arizona is a dumb progression.

Ok so sorry if this is a stupid question but I want to ask, once RoA and TSI closes in July, will the Piston Peak and Villains land be built simultaneously, or will it be Piston Peak first, then Villains land?
