My main question is, what here replaces the all-ages attraction that the riverboat was? My parents are 70+ now, they're not getting on Cars High Speed Off-Road Rally, but you bet they would never ever have skipped a ride on the riverboat. Without a replacement for that, it's still a huge loss for WDW as a family fun park. There are fewer and fewer new attractions like that being built and whittling away the ones that do exist sucks.
Yes, this part unfortunately wasn’t addressed because the reality is they want things that sell lightning lanes and little to nothing else it seems. The quiet, filler attractions seem to be completely expendable. I am thrilled they at least redesigned the area, incorporated water, etc. the art looks great. I will still mourn losing a very inclusive attraction though.

(Ignoring the rest of that what in the sam hell is going on here mismash/word salad of "inspiration" from WDI) Oh my good god. Nowhere on god's green earth do the Rocky Mountains "fit in" with Liberty Square.
I think their idea is that from Liberty Square it'll look like just lush greenery, and you won't really see the mountain until you're by Grizzly Hall. Going off of what they're saying, anyways.

Depending on how they do things, sightline wise, I think it'll be more thematic than watching the riverboat and tom sawyer island from HM.

I am more sold on the idea now that I know they're going to make sure you can't see any Cars stuff from anywhere outside of the area, and make sure you can't hear the race cars outside of the area either. The decently wide river and extra water features are nice too, though the art makes me think that the Haunted Mansion will no longer be a manor on the water.
The only way you won't hear any racing car sounds outside the area is if it is enclosed (and it isn't). So take that with a boulder of salt.

Here is what the land will look like from a website that we do not speak of.

Gotta take this with a grain of salt, as the art is heavily stylized. The buildings on the left side of the art aren't entirely to scale, and for whatever reason Grizzly Hall looks different. I'm hoping the reality is close to the art but scaled down slightly so the river is wider. There needs to be more separation between the Cars area and the main area.
