Indeed. Every time they update anything in a way that doesn't involve a lot of big colourful props or Mickey & Co., people seem to complain about de-theming. Sometimes, though, less is more and a big red spaceship, for example, is less appropriately themed than a sleeker structure.
I didn't hate this, but also wouldn't mourn its loss for something that fits a more mid-century and sleek version of Tomorrowland. Sometimes I get the impression that there is a whole generation of fans for whom peak Disney theming is the 1990s Disney Store aesthetic.
