Maleficent- Female Identifying Performer. 5’10 to 6’1. As portrayed in the animated classic, Maleficent (muh-LEFF-uh-sint), mistress of evil...

I wonder how many auditions they sat through in which the actor introduced themselves as
"MAIL - fuh - sint" or
"MAH - luh - FISS - sent"
that they would put this in the call sheet?

To my (Southeastern) British eyes and ears, “sint” is a very odd way of transcribing the final syllable.

I hope the casting call’s description of the characters finally convinces those insisting otherwise that this show does not set out to redeem the villains.

That's how Americans pronounce it.

Casting Call ≠ Show

"clap, stomp and scream - show who you love... As you choose the most villainized"

It’s a question of transcription, not pronunciation. Both Brits and Americans pronounce—or are supposed to pronounce—that final syllable with a schwa (represented as “uh” in the rest of the transcription), not with the vowel sound of “sit”. Perhaps it doesn’t look so odd to an American to represent that final sound as “sint” (in other words, perhaps you’re able to interpret it as a schwa), but the only way I can read it is to rhyme with “mint”.

It’s making fun of them and their delusions, but if you still think we’re meant to come away feeling they’ve been genuinely wronged, nothing I say will convince you otherwise.
Any ambiguity at all makes it bad show. The concept is serviceable but the execution (script) is crap. I don't need convincing of anything. I need a better show. THIS is supposed to whet our appetite for Villains land!?

It’s not ambiguous. There may be other reasons it isn’t a good show, but questioning the villainy of its characters isn’t one of them.

I've got the look for a face character Hook down (even a mustache), and a great singing voice, but I'm probably a half inch too short and not sure if I'd get rounded up in measurement. Ugh!
When was the last time WDW had a really good stage show? Other Disney resorts get them. Muppets in Liberty Square was great but not really a stage show. Lion King is strong but old. I remember liking Hunchback at MGM but that was a long time ago…
Good question! There's a number of good candidates, depending on what you classify as good...
The original version of the Finding Nemo musical (can't comment on the current version)
The 2 hour one that got cut down during cast previews (which I've never seen anything for publicly or privately, except for a friend who was at one of those previews)? Or the one we ended up with before the cut down one? The latter is probably my pick as well (I even own the CD of the cast recording), but before that you'd likely be looking into the 90's. I've always loved Dick Tracy in Diamond Double Cross myself, but it's far too obscure for most (and oddly disliked by many).

I would happily trade Rise of the Resistance for the old planned Dick Tracy ride.

Correct. That is how it is pronounced.
